Great place. As an international tourist I do not like being charged 2000zar and asked for banking
details for a property damage deposit. Especially with a 7 day turn around.
In other words 6 other nights of guests stay in the room and what prevents me from being charged for something they did??
And it is just too risky for me to give banking details as a tourist.
Other wise stay was nice.
Overall very good. Mostly kitchenette type rooms. Not totally practical for space. Had a huge bathroom that was very clean and appeared almost new. Not well prepared for my kid. Through a mattress on the floor. It worked but was not ideal. No couches or actual beds to add. Make sure you get a double bedroom. Breakfast was very good and lots of good options. Would stay there again but be careful of getting a luxury room and thinking you'll have a couch or extra bed to be brought in for your kid. Would recommend and stay there again.
Cute little hotel in a residential setting easy drive to airport, mall and the bay for a yummy meal at Portuguese on the bay we recommend. The front desk staff was very accommodating we came in early and put our bags in their storage and they had the maid service get to our room first to allow us early access to our room after a quick lunch. The meals were good, quick service and they even sent my laundry out for washing and had it back same day at a reasonable price. The room we booked was the honeymoon suite and it was very cute with jacuzzi tub, king bed, nice fridge and counter area and separate shower. If we travel to Richards Bay again in the future we would most definitely stay again!
There was construction work happening on the property. We did not mind however one would think that on a Sunday there would no construction work. Unfortunately Sunday morning the work and the noise continued.
We are a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children). We were allocated 2 rooms away from the pool and the restaurant. For families perhaps check-in staff should consider putting families closer to facilities.
The staff were very accommodating, friendly and efficient.
Overall our stay was very pleasant and we will definitely recommend it.
Was very disappointed on my arrival
after making my booking I phoned in to reception to confirm and also confirmed I would be getting the suite with the Jacuzzi but that was not the case was just given an executive suite which was told is the honeymoon suite I was not happy with that!!!what is advertised should be what is given!!!
I guess we were not expecting it to be motel style with exterior doors, so it was very noisy. Room had been redone and was in good shape. Staff were very friendly. Wifi signal was weak. Also we had thought our breakfast was included and were shocked at how expensive it was (considering where we were). Overall would be fine for quick one night stop over.
