Ripa is a destination with stacks of cool stories to tell. If you feel like your life's been a bit vanilla lately, a trip here is the perfect answer!

The nation's capital, Rome, can be found around 100 kilometres to the southwest of Ripa.

The Museo Nazionale d'Abruzzo is in Ocre, 9 kilometres away. This well-known attraction is certainly worth the journey.

Put aside a few hours for walking along the shore and soaking up the views at Montesilvano Beach or Vasto Beach.

It's common knowledge that getting outside is good for your health and happiness. Keeping that in mind, why don't you travel 35 kilometres out of Ripa to Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park? Gole di Celano, 20 kilometres away, is one more popular choice.

Enjoy the exhilaration of watching a live soccer match at Angelini Stadium, the home turf of the S.S. Chieti Calcio. After you've cheered along with their passionate fans, why not enjoy a drink with them somewhere close by? To reach the arena, head 45 kilometres east to Chieti.

Hop on the chairlift at Forca d'Acero Ski Area, enjoy the dazzling white views and then carve your way back to the lodge. For even more chilled thrills, check out the slopes at Roccaraso-Aremogna Ski Resort.

Expand your horizons and find out what's happening in Fagnano Alto, 2 kilometres to the south. Lots of travellers come here for Chamois Visitor Center and Wildlife Area and Grotte di Stiffe. Alternatively, Villa Sant'Angelo is 4 kilometres to the west of Ripa. Stop at this destination for convenient access to Campo Felice and Seggiovia Scuola.

Torricella Sicura, 45 kilometres to the north, is a great day trip. You can use it as a port of call when stopping by Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, Cathedral of San Berardo and the F. Savini Archaeological Museum. If you'd like more convincing, other nearby sights include the University of Teramo and Area di Largo Madonna delle Grazie.
