Welcome to our beautiful riverfront retreat!
Nestled along the idyllic shores of the beautiful Hastings River, our spacious waterfront property offers the perfect getaway for families seeking to enjoy some rest and relaxation time together. This property has its own direct access to a private mini beach and also has a lovely inground swimming pool. Registration number PID-STRA-67899.
We offer 4 bedrooms that accommodate up to 8 guests.
Bedroom 1: (upstairs) has its own ensuite and a brand new air conditioner has recently been installed. This room has a King size bed, built in robes and a 3 seater lounge with its own smart television.
Bedroom 2: has its own ensuite, built in robes and a King size bed.
Bedroom 3: has a Queen size bed and built in robes.
Bedroom 4: has a Queen size bed and built in robes.
The kitchen has an electric cooktop, oven, range hood, fridge, microwave and dishwasher and essential cooking utilities including kettle and toaster. There is also crockery and cutlery available. We also have an 8 seater dining table perfect for gathering everyone together for memorable meals.
The spacious living room offers stunning river views through large light filled windows, allowing you to soak in the natural beauty of the Hastings River. This room has a new air conditioner and a smart television. Please note there is no wi-fi available, we recommend using the hotspot off your mobile phone if needed.
We have laundry facilities including a front loader washer and dryer.
BBQ facilities and 8 seater outdoor table in a spacious screened outdoor room to take in the magnificent sunsets. There is a small gas Weber BBQ available for use.
Our property offers its own direct access to the water. Spend your days kayaking, fishing or simply lounging by the water's edge, you might even see some of the local dolphins swim past if you are lucky. However, our private jetty is under construction at the moment and not available for use. We have two kayaks available for guest use. Please note watercraft are used at guests own risk.
Please keep in mind this is an absolute waterfront property, please be careful and watch children at all times as we hold no responsibility for any harm caused. Please be assured that access to the river can be easily controlled using external gates and by locking the screen doors to the outdoor BBQ room. Additionally, the backyard is secure, with measures in place to ensure your children's safety. The swimming pool is also fully fenced.
There is one set of internal stairs.
PROVISIONS
Professionally laundered sheets, towels and tea towels provided. These sheets and towels are hotel quality and professionally laundered by Port Linen Hire. Linen: 1 set of full bed linens (sheets and pillowcases), 1 bath towel and 1 face washer per person are supplied per booking. One professionally laundered bath mat and hand towel is also provided per bathroom per booking from Port Linen Hire. Guests may wish to bring extra towels depending on the length of their stay. Pool/Lake/Beach towels are BYO. Pillows and blankets are also available in each bedroom.
GUEST ACCESS
You will have the property to yourself and access to the whole house (with a few exceptions, see below). However, the garage is inaccessible. It is utilised for personal purposes; please do not enter this area. Ample parking is available on the 2 private driveways and street.
We have recently renovated the house, however there are 3 rooms that have been locked and/or boarded off that we plan to redo in mid 2025, but this won’t affect your stay in any way. The recently renovated rooms available to you are listed above and are ready to use (all room photos provided are available for use). There are two ensuite bathrooms available (one upstairs and one downstairs) but please be aware that the main bathroom is not ready for use and has been locked. Please note the bath/shower upstairs hasn’t been replaced and has some obvious marks and discoloration on the bath floor that are unable to be removed. The bath has been thoroughly cleaned before and after each guest stay. There will be no construction going on at any time during (or before and after your stay), there are also no paint fumes etc as this part of the renovation was done months ago.
Pets are not permitted. Smoking, vaping or use of e-cigarettes is not allowed within the property.

Our pest control treatments are up to date and carried out by Best Pest Management, Port Macquarie. Last date completed – 13/12/24.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
The access codes to gain entry to the premises will be made available the day before check-in (via a lock box at the front door – inside the screen doors). Our check-in time is 2pm. Check out is 10am.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
We have a strict no party or loud events policy. We live in a very quiet neighborhood, please respect our neighbors and their right to be undisturbed, so any type of events such as hens/bucks/schoolies/end of season sporting groups/birthday party celebration are not allowed. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
CAR FERRY
To get to Riverside you will need to use the public car ferry to cross the Hastings River.
WEEKLY FERRY PASS PROVIDED: We will supply a weekly ferry pass for your use during your stay. This can be found in the lock box upon entry to the property. You will have to pay the one way fee to start with (which is $8 per car) but you will have the ferry pass once you arrive at the property so you won’t have to pay any additional ferry fees after that.
For your information - there is a fee of $8 per car per one way trip each time you use the ferry. A caravan/trailer is also an additional $8. The ferry takes approximately 5 minutes to cross the river. There are two ferries that run on demand and you need to allow approximately a 15 minute wait.
Ferry 1: Hibbard Ferry (closest to Riverside Drive). You will need to drive along Boundary St to get to the Hibbard Ferry. This is our part time ferry and you can use it Monday through to Friday: 6am - 9.50am and 2pm - 6.50pm. And on weekends and public holidays it runs from 8am - 6.50pm. This ferry does not run on the 4th Thursday of each month between 10am and 2pm due to servicing. The Hibbard Ferry doesn’t run Christmas Day (you will need to use the Settlement Point Ferry on this day, see below).
Ferry 2: Settlement Point Ferry. You will need to drive along Settlement Point Road to get to the Settlement Point Ferry. This ferry runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except for a monthly servicing day. You wont be able to use this ferry on the 4th Wednesday of each month between 9.30am and 3pm due to servicing. During school holidays this ferry runs Monday to Friday 6am to 6:50pm and weekends 8am to 6:50pm.
