Tgere seems to be a pattern with hotels giving away rooms for their own members over hotels.com. A friend told me about it and it happened with this trip. I happen to be a hiltons member too and they provided my a different room. You should speak with the hotel chains.

A very nice hotel.
The hotel was very neat and clean. It was not on the highway, so it was nice and quiet. They provided a good breakfast. Most Hampton Inns are very nice.

Front desk staff is terrible. I have stayed at this hotel often. I made a mistake and booked my most recent stay for the wrong night. They refused to help me. Our policy, our policy, our policy. We stayed for one night on a road trip from Asheville, NC on our way back to Maryland. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The free breakfast was good and had a variety of hot and cold foods. The staff was friendly and helpful. At the front desk was a list of recommended restaurants and we went to The Harbor Inn Seafood restaurant nearby and had outstanding seafood meals.
