Odd location but the hotel was fine. Well priced, clean and friendly enough. Breakfast was fine. Quite a new building by the look of it, it was basic and clean.
Useful bike storage shed outside
A long walk to get into town, there are chain options nearby but otherwise it’s probably a short drive or ride.
Overall, nothing special but perfectly acceptable for the price.
I have stayed here a few times now. I can't find any faults at all with the rooms or service. They have recently extended the hotel and included in that extension was a new breakfast area. It is ideal for overnight stays.
I needed to stay in Roeselare because I was attending a concert by Anouar Brahem. The hotel looked just what I was looking for on the web and it didn't disappoint.
The hotel is quite a small hotel, new and in excellent condition. The lady that runs the hotel is very polite, friendly and very helpful. She was also very apologetic for the roadworks (not near the hotel), but between the hotel and the town centre, this wasn't a problem.
The room was a really good sized double with a lovely en-suite toilet/walk in shower room with a multi-function shower. The room was very well appointed, comfortable arm chairs and bed. The room has tea/coffee and hot chocolate making facilities.
I now stay here reasonably regularly when in Belgium. Each time the room is very clean, a nice welcome upon arrival and a friendly chat on departure. I booked later this time so there was only a suite left, I think suite description is pushing it a bit because actually its the addition of a sofa and a bath for an extra €20! This wouldn't stop me staying there of course because its a lovely place but you an book into the Mercure with Breakfast for the same price, whilst the Mercure is a larger perhaps less friendly hotel it does have more to offer with regards to facilities and is no worse in terms of location (both are out of the main town and industrial). The rooms not classed as suites are perfectly adequate in size.
Cute simple hidden place and a wonderful propertier lady. I'm not a smoker somewhat hard to get used to in these small European places, there is always the lingering cigarette smell in the air....
I stay in the area most months and have been disapointed in th other hotels i stayed in. Whilst this one is not in a great area it is not too far from the centre so if driving not a problem. Nice clean and smart rooms with a lovely lady checking in and out.
Stayed at the hotel before - always very clean and hospitable but a bit noisy in the morning from passing traffic using the nearby road as a cut-through.
Cleanliness of room/hotel - Good
Quality of service - Good
Hotel amenities - Bad (no restaurant)
Hotel location - In middle of nowhere, noise all night long people coming and going?
Zeer vriendelijk ontvangst.
