First impression is the clerk.
The first impression by phone was not positive: I introduced myself and asked about early check-in as we approached the city. Immediate response was a definite No, not until 4. She. Old have been friendlier but was the same upon meeting her in person—same answer claiming she was “totally booked”…the lot was empty but 2 cars and 2 housekeeping employees we saw. She did not even take my name. I cancelled a second night online. We came back at 4 and Solomon, the desk was very nice and spoke to us in a helpful & friendly manner. It’s unfortunate some Clerks are not happy with their job.

Room had rodent poop, sheets felt grimy and bedding/pillows were stained. Some customers were very loud going from door to door pounding in the doors. One resident had the whole parking lot open and parked on a diagonal to our car so we could not get out of the space. Overall I would recommend a different hotel.

There were a few issues during our stay at this best western motel. The pipes for our sink leaked during our first night and require someone to stand in to fix for a good 45 minutes. The next day our key cards weren’t working because the battery for our room had shorted out and our key cards weren’t able to get us back into our room. Luckily we just went out for their convenient free breakfast they offer 6-10am otherwise if we had gone out for our hike later we would’ve had to wait much longer for assistance. Our cards stopped working the next day as well, but luckily we checked and cleared out our room prior to checking out for our brief weekend here. The area at least is relatively quiet and conveniently close to fast food stops, grocery spots, and gas stations with a fair pricing at the time. The stat was decent for what was expected as per the staff were friendly and helpful too.

Run down outdated building and room. Amenidies worked, but mattress was old (nasty), I didnt want to sit on the furnature. I typically like Best Western, but this one is rundown.
