Slightly below average.
I will preface this by saying that Im reasonably certain I had the smallest room in the hotel, given I booked last minute and hotels.com stated it was the last available room (rm 22 i think?). I will also say the location was amazing, and the staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The room however was not great for ‘4 stars’. The furniture was too large for the room and made it feel cluttered and claustrophobic. There were also not really any usable windows for sun light or fresh air, as the room faced out to an alley that was central to 3-4 restaurant kitchens. Italian restaurant kitchens are LOUD, and we heard everything up until they closed around midnight / 1am. Also no chairs to sit on making the bed the only place to sit down was weird. The bathroom shower is one of those ones with no door, so you feel the breeze and also there was no way to not get water everywhere all over the bathroom. We weren’t in the room all that much, so it didnt overly affect us, but something to keep in mind when booking (make sure you dont book a room without city view as youll be placed in a room on the rear facing the alley)

We really enjoyed our stay at Mama’s Home. The room was clean and comfortable. We were in easy walking distance from all the major sights and there was no shortage of places to eat. Having the Campo de Fiori market just steps away from the front door was a plus! I lived this place and would stay again.

Tough to review this property and not sound too negative. I booked early and the price dropped by a couple hundred dollars per night and there was no cancellation :( Great area but it’s tiny! So many stairs, a baby elevator that only one person and one bag can fit in. We are a fit couple and the stairs were a hassle, not convenient at all. Tiny corridors. The room we just ok. Bed was comfy but two towels only and no washcloths given the whole stay. I wish I would’ve booked a regular hotel. No hotel amenities. They try but not the best. One worker and not good at answering what’s app.

One of the best hotels we stayed at on our trip to Italy. It's in the heart of the Campo de' Fiori were the statue of Giordano Bruno stares in the direction of the Vatican. If you don't know who he is... please look him up. Very cool. Friendly staff, very clean, rooms are spacous and the coffee machine in your room has AMAZING coffee. I would give this place 10 stars, if I could.

Great service from the team, everyone was very friendly and always happy to help. The location is perfect - well connected/ easy walking distance to all the main sites. The hotel is modern and clean with the best in room coffee machine we had in our three weeks in Italy. The room was also well sounded proofed so street noise was minimal even though it is right on the square.

Great hotel in a great location. Super friendly staff made check in really easy and they arranged a transfer for us back to the airport. The room was great and very clean and everything is within walking distance. We would stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

Quirky property, listed as a hotel, however it is not what we expected at all, it’s an old building accessed via a long corridor between two restaurants. The room we had was large and had usual hotel amenities provided. The rooms are accessed by using a tiny elevator that can hold one person plus one suitcase, or two slim people at a time. Alternatively you can use the steep stone steps to access the rooms. You then deal with the hotel staff via WhatsApp. The location was great for us and we walked to many attractions with ease.

Great location. The hotel was clean with the exception of the floor. Maybe that is why sleepers are given….The floor was pretty dirty. My baby’s feet were dark after walking on the floor for a little. The disappointment was that our hotel wasn’t ready even after arriving an hour late that check in time. Being exhausted from the long train ride with kids, would have been nice to relax a bit before heading out to walk again.

We loved Mama’s house. It was a great room, comfy bed, nice decor. Only negative was there was a bit of noise, not from the outside but from chairs on the floor from the level above.
