There were chairs with bodily secretions stains in both rooms. Went to the bathroom and couldn’t flush the toilet because the toilet was broken. In the other bathroom, the glass shower door was broken. only half remained. all the drains did not drain. He had to pull the drain stoppers out of all the drains, including the bidet. In the kitchen, there were crumbs everywhere the baseboards were falling off and caked with dirt. The furniture in the listing was not in the apartment and there was an old stained foldaway bed, where one of the couches should’ve been, which was not usable for us. The paint in each room was in disrepair, and the walls were covered in scratches. It was more than just the apartment being filthy. The apartment was also run down. We got the property manager involved who was a check-in coordinator. He helped get the owner involved who showed up to the apartment the next day, and as we walked her through the condition of the apartment, she tried to convince us that none of this was a big deal and that it wasn’t dirty, but she would fire the cleaning crew. The owner did offer to send a cleaning crew the next day. However, we declined due to the fact that we did not feel safe with a cleaning crew in the apartment with us, or with our stuff, as well as the fact that the apartment needed more than just a surface cleaning. It needed a lot of maintenance done.
