The property is separate from their main hotel building, which has very poor security measures as a result. The front door requires a security code and each floor has a door that unlocks with your key, however no staff monitor this and both doors are often carelessly left unlocked making them absolutely useless.
The rooms look completely different online, we ended up having an extremely small room where you are unable to open a suitcase or walk by another person. Each time we showered the water was cold from beginning to end with the dial all the way hot or with using low water pressure. On our last night at the hotel we were very concerned because all “security doors” were unlocked and there was a police investigation going on as we came back at night.
We ended up booking a car service from the hotel to the airport on our last day, which the hotel advertises you taking a luxury vehicle to the airport for 60€. However, we ended up taking the most rundown van with an extremely rude driver who was talking on the phone to his friends the entire way.
Overall our experience at the Stay Inn was disappointing and we regret spending our money in this hotel which did not meet our expectations or needs. In addition, we spent an extra $20 a night by choosing this hotel over the Mozart which was a huge mistake.
The Hotel Condotti runs this off-brand hotel. After hauling our luggage up the tiny elevator to the second floor, we came to realize that we had to go to the other hotel to check in. We had followed the instructions from the welcome email, entered the passcode provided to the safe, and opened it to find no key. We followed up to push the doorbell several times as stated on the posted sign and after a few minutes of no answer, we called the hotel. They informed us we had to go to the main hotel in order to check into our property, which was several blocks away. Upon checkout, we were required to haul our bags to the main hotel again to return our keys. The check in/out experience was overall very inconvenient and we were not clearly communicated the instructions beforehand. As far as the room, it was very average. Clean with sufficient room and a good location, but nothing extraordinary. We also had to call and request our room to be cleaned as they did not show up to clean it as they said they would.
We picked this hotel based on the reviews. The location was good, and it was easy to get around. The room however was very dark, the windows overlooked a small opening between buildings. The worst thing about the room was it smelt terrible. The floors were also dirty. The size of the room was good, enough room for cases etc. The fridge kept the drinks cold and it was a nice addition. The hotel website indicates that there is a Nespresso machine, there isn’t, it’s a Krupp’s with generic coffee. Overall, a disappointing hotel.
The hotel is in the ideal spot . In the middle of Via del Corso and close to metros and main attractions.
We stayed here 4 years ago as the hotel we had booked had water problems. The room was quite spacious so we booked this time . I presume the first time we had been given a superior room as this time although very comfortable bed the room was very small .
The arrangement for getting in to the hotel also needs to be changed . We booked in October and were given instructions on how to key in a number to get in the front door , go to 2nd floor open a safe for room key . We did all this and could not get in . Luckily another person staying there let us in to a room with phone to ring the sister hotel Hotel Condotti 300 yds away but it did not work or video phone . Luckily I managed to ring and someone came round to tell us that had all changed and now you had to check in at Condotti . So I stayed in our room and my husband went to check in . This could have been put right with a second message telling us all this before hand .
We would stay there again but probably get an up grade to the room and make sure how to check in !
Stay Inn Rome is in very good location and walking distance to Metro and walking distance to most of the famous sites such as Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. I love this hotel and definitely were coming back to this hotel and last but not the least , the staf , Paula and Daniela are very nice and helpful.
Excellent location! The front desk lady was extremely helpful. She was able to order us taxis, set up tours and explain how far sites were. We really appreciated her help during our stay. The only downfall was the A/C. It was really hot in the room, to the point that we woke up a few times. The A/C wasn't as strong as we expected, but besides that, we were very lucky to have such a great room in a great location!

The first room was adequate for the price but the noise the first night of 7 was aweful. Thin floors and noisy hallways kept us up most of the night and did not allow for a nice stay. Cleaning crews made it a point to be extra noisy in morning to get you out of your room so they could clean. Such excess that they would slam doors and make enough noise to raise the dead. The ultimate critic was after moving two times, do to the noise, that a pair of expensive shoes were stolen during a move and it seemed no one knew a thing. I've travelled the world from 2- 5 star hotels and this failure to accept responsibility or even address the issue forces me to bid you great caution when staying at this hotel. Proceed with caution and if you choose to stay bring noise cancelling headphones or earphones. I'll never return to this hotel.
A couple of my friends and I stayed here during our stop in Rome. The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. She helped us with any questions we had, and provided many recommendations for places to visit. We also received a complimentary bottle of wine per room which was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were clean, and the bathrooms were spacious with ample counter space which was great compared to our other hotels in Europe. We definitely recommend staying here!
This hotel was in a central location (Via del Corsa) so it was easy to walk to places like the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon were no more than 35 minutes walk away.
The nearest metro station was about 10 minutes walk away also.
There are plenty of shops around the area including a local super market Carrefour Express and lots of little restaurants for drinks and food.
The hotel itself was clean and the rooms a good size for a 4-5 day city break. They were always clean and pleasant upon returning from the day out.
I recommend staying at this hotel.

It was a small hotel. Quite clean but fairly basic. Windows were really sound proofed when closed. Almost a utilitarian feel. The registration desk wasn't open until 10 as advertised but they were able to ensure we got in the hotel even so.
Traveling in Rome for the first time and found this location to be ideal for being able to walk to most of the sites. It was fantastic for restaurants and shopping as well. The hotel was great for the price. My first room was very small and then I was able to switch to a larger room which was more comfortable. The staff is wonderful, addressing every need very quickly. I would definitely stay again.
I recently stayed at the Stay Inn for 8 nights with my sister and it was a great location in the Spanish Steps area of the historic district. We were within walking distance to all of the main attractions and right in the middle of a lot of shopping and good restaurants. The room was comfortable and the staff was just wonderful. They were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms all of Wi-Fi access and there is also a computer out by the reception area.
The reception area is on the 2nd floor of the building (as are the first level of rooms) so you have to take the elevator or stairs to check in.
