Belgrade, 60 kilometres east, and Sarajevo, which lies 150 kilometres to the southwest, are two outstanding cities that are just a day trip away from Sabac.

The calming sounds of the natural world await you at Fruska Gora National Park. It's situated just 45 kilometres away, so you don't have to be on the road all day. Sava River, 17 kilometres away, is another popular choice.

Seeking some other close-by localities? Slepčević is about 10 kilometres to the west, so jump in the car and start exploring! Alternatively, Platicevo, 12 kilometres northeast of Sabac, is also worth a day trip.

Feel like checking out the University of Novi Sad, Petrovaradin Fortress and Church of the Virgin Mary? Head along to Novi Sad, 60 kilometres to the north, and set up base. These attractions, along with the Serbian National Theatre and the Vojvodina Museum, are all nearby.

Feel like something a bit more involved? For a lively adventure through the surrounding landscape, sign yourself up for some mountain climbing or hiking.

Celebrate the winter by taking your youngest travellers snowboarding. Skiing is another fun-filled activity for the whole family.
