The property inside and out was spotlessly clean; I likely could have eaten off of the floor. The breakfasts provided were simple but of high quality ingredients and I was never dissatisfied. I stayed in the Helene room which has its own balcony which I enjoyed sitting out on after a day full of walking. This Auberge is very close to the Via Rail station so if, like me, you take the train up from Montreal, it is a great choice. The hosts were super accommodating when Via Rail changed the train schedule that I arrived around 4AM next morning instead of originally at around 7pm.
Excellente place to stay, full of charm, very clean, with a large choice of breakfasts and well located to walk to several restaurants in the area. The host is really nice. Definitely a place to go back.

We loved this place. The St. George is comfortable, elegant and distinctive--a welcome from the typical, generic hotel room. Housed in a charming mid-century modern building beside a church (former rectory?), the Auberge gave these weary travelers a serene, soothing refuge. The proprietors were kind, helpful and attentive to detail. The room was spacious and well-appointed. We found the common areas equally inviting. For Saguenay, the location was ideal. The included, tasty breakfast sealed the deal. Combining class and value, the Auberge St. George shouldn't be missed.
Incredibly nice people, very clean, beautiful house and rooms, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, close to railway station, lovely town. A wonderful place to stay.
Spacious rooms, very good breakfast in a tasteful environment. Good price/performance relationship. Ideally suited but not limited to railroad travellers: Close to the station, flexible breakfast times to catch early trains.
A lovely B&B in a 1950s presbytery (church next door) in an fantastic Art Deco style. We arrived early but our hosts were very welcoming and everything was ready. There was also a place to put our bikes and camping equipment securely overnight. The room was really comfy and everywhere was very clean. Breakfast next morning was simple but good quality (especially the freshly made to order omelette!) and all we needed. Everything's very close, it's right by the Route Verte and is a five minute walk to bars (including two great microbrasseries) and restaurants and the railway station.

The staff are very hospitable, but speak little or no English. The "hotel" is a B and B really, with about a 60 stair climb from parking lot to room -- not recommended to anyone with mobility issues!. Very nice included breakfast.
