Being situated just north of Pau, it was perfectly located for an overnight stay on our way home frim Spain. Very friendly staff. It was unusually hot for early April and the fan didn't work so sleeping wasn't easy. However, the beds were comfortable and with the window open it was okay. Breakfast was very good.

Lovely stay

Lovely reception when we arrived, free onsite parking fantastic and proximity to Pau great. Room spotless and comfortable with even a kettle to make hot drinks. Large bathroom and separate toilet clean and fresh. Owner extremely helpful.

Very nice room

Nice clean room with helpful staff just a few minutes away from the center. Not crazy about the layout where you have the toilet and the sink in separate rooms but that’s common in France.

Don't judge a book by its cover!

I was very apprehensive on arrival as the external appearance is not great. I was not sure if the hotel was actually open or not? However, once inside I was fully reassured as the guy on Reception was helpful, pleasant and very friendly. The inside of the hotel is basic but very clean. My room was excellent and represented extremely good value for money. No A/C but a fan was provided in room. I left early in the morning so did not try the breakfast. I would definitely stay again.

Not as bad as it looks from the front

What looks like a rundown hotel from outside is surprisingly decent inside. The rooms are adequate for a short stay and the wifi is good. Lots of supermarkets nearby. Its a bit out from the centre of town but we had a car and there's a massive free parking spot in town so we just parked there while we explored Pau. The parking at the hotel seems safe. The only issue we had was that coffee from the machine in the foyer was 3 euros per cup, AND we weren't allowed to take it up to our room. I think if this rule was changed we would happily stay again.

Disappointed

Hotel was overbooked even though reservation was confirmed 10 weeks in advance. Owner sent us to another hotel which had no air condition and no elevator (had to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs). Don't trust this facility.

Decent Hotel in Pau

The hotel looks a bit rundown on the outside, but is nicer on the inside. Rooms were recently renovated and updated. Rooms on the west side face the street and there is significant traffic noise. They serve a decent continental breakfast that is moderately priced. There is plenty of parking. Easy drive to the toll road or to downtown Pau.

Newly renovated inside, rooms much better than the external appearance suggests. Helpful staff, breakfast fine. Biggest issue is noise from adjoining rooms and corridor. Quite a long way out of town centre.

Good clean basic outskirts hotel

Newly renovated. Good clean basics. Super convenient for drivers. About a mile from downtown Pau, which is difficult to drive around. Free parking and easily reached from the expressway. Supermarket across the street.

OK Hotel out of City Centre

Nothing special, old guy on reception not really bothered or very helpful! Hotel was a little battered but breakfast was good. Not much to shout about, bowling alley and bar next door was good.
