Pauline and Sheefa were simply magnificent! Gave us great recommendations for what to see in our one night we were staying in Lyon. Directions to use public transportation were perfect and easy to follow. Hotel was very clean and accessible to the Metro transport.
This is a lovely hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. Food is delicious, and great choice at breakfast. Rooms are spacious and very quiet. A perfect stopover for us
Stayed here for my sons 18th birthday to go and watch WWE Smackdown and Backlash at LDLC stadium. Staff all very friendly and very helpful. Tram station is literally a 2 minute walk and takes about 40 mins to get into Lyon (2 euros), absolutely amazing service with a T2 tram about every 10 mins.
Hotel is a 10 minute walk from a lovely large shopping centre with numerous cafe / bars and restaurants.
Hotel is in a lovely position overlooking a lake. Absolutely loved our stay here.
Very friendly staff, especially Jaffa cake loving Sarah at check in and Jeremy at check out!

Too hot with no air con available
The hotel does not have air conditioning throughout, so in the middle of August it was very warm and the room was too hot to be comfortable in.
The staff offered a fan which didn’t help, and then switched our room (an upgrade even) which also didn’t help, but at least the room was better.
Cleanliness was relatively poor with many hairs found on sheets and the bathroom floor which was surprising.
Also a 25 euro charge per night to have your dog stay is extortionate.
The staff remained friendly and did their best to help and accommodate, but a 4* hotel should really have air conditioning throughout to make it comfortable in the midst of a heatwave.
The hotel isn’t close to anything so it is a challenge to find food, etc. the check in they want you to prepay 400 euros which was not previously noted.
This is an American brand hotel, and I love it. For medium budget for family of 5, still gave us best. Breakfast was fantastic. Clean, friendly staffs, safe easy parking.
Check in and staff were great. Always love staying at Doubletree...however, not impressed with the water leaking from the ceiling. Carpet was soaked and my allergies overnight were horrible. I can't imagine mold under carpets. We had mosquitoes (probably due to moisture) and drops were loud and annoying during the night. No managment, therefore staff couldn't do anything. A plan needs to be in place when management is not there. Not fair for front desk as they cannot do anything for customers. There should be some kind of compensation for customers when you are paying so much money.
