A week in Campania
Casa Rosa is a large house with space and comfort for 8 although we were only 7. The pool is large and Guiseppe keeps it beautifully clean. The house is located within an hour of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum the Amalfi Coast and is an ideal place to sight see all the extraordinary monuments around Vesuvius. Guiseppe is kind and responsive host, his neighbours less so but he did everything to make our stay a happy and agreeable one.

Fabulous Italian villa
A charming authentic Italian villa. Wow. Spotlessly clean in a lovely quiet country location ( so yes you may hear an animal - it’s the country !) but was all blissful and tranquil to us. Giuseppe was an amazing host and really nice man, who takes great care of the house. We loved the pool and gardens. The house is large on 3 floors. There is a big kitchen table and all the facilities you need. There is also plenty of seating outside. We didnt use it but there is also a Billiard table, BBQ and Table Tennis We had an amazing time in this unique house and would highly recommend.

Beautiful authentic Italian house near Amalfi coast
From all 9 in our group we thank Giuseppe for the wonderful days in this beautiful country home! He arranged for fresh mozzarella, prosciutto and bread on arrival and provided everything we needed for our stay. The house is very well maintained and clean. We all fit comfortable in the 4 bedrooms. Water pressure in the showers was a little iffy at the moments but the pool compensated 😄and the weather was perfect! We were able to visit Napoli, Pompeii, Sorento,Amalfi, Minori,Maiori,Positano and Capri. The best part of the house is the garden where we spent every evening for dinner under the olive trees and mornings under the rose vines!

Three weeks just chilling
We can only repeat all of the positive reviews listed and after reading them this is why we chose to book our holiday at Villa Rosa. Giuseppe is an excellent host who goes above and beyond, communication was excellent from the moment we booked the holiday, during the holiday and until the day we left. We have many happy memories of our lazy days in this pleasant rustic setting compared to the hustle and bustle of our day trips out always looking forward to returning to the tranquility of the villa

Spacious villa
We arrived very late at night, near midnight, so it was good of Giuseppe to hang around waiting for us. The place wasn't easy to find, because the numbers of the houses on the street didn't seem to correspond to the number we were looking for. If it wasn't for the good communication with Giuseppe I think we would have struggled to find it. He was also kind enough to supply us with a nice big bag of tomatoes, some mozzarella and some bread, in case we were hungry, which we were. Every so often he would bring us some basil and onions, etc., which was much appreciated. The house is very spacious, with a large lounge and kitchen. There's a mezzanine with a snooker/pool table overlooking the lounge, which leads to the bedrooms on the first floor, with stairs going from there to the second floor, which is like a self contained flat on its own. There’s an exterior staircase that provides access to this floor and the first floor if anybody wants to pop out without going through the rest of the house. It was sometimes handy. Above the second floor there’s an attic room. It’s all clean and tidy. If I had one slight grumble it would be the mattresses in the first floor rooms aren’t particularly comfortable, but not to the extent that it stopped any of us sleeping, and the showers could do with upgrading. I see some people complained in their reviews about the noise of dogs barking. Every now and then it got a little rowdy, but most of the time it didn’t bother us – it’s Italy. That’s what it’s like in the countryside, the occasional dog barking, cockerel crowing. It adds to the atmosphere. I also saw people complained about the wi-fi. It was good enough to stream TV on my Firestick, but only worked in the lounge and on the mezzanine, and if too many people were using data heavy apps on their phones it would hang. It was OK most of the time, though. Phone reception was good there, so if you want to stream music down by the pool, use your data allowance for it without problems. The pool was a good temperature, not too hot, not too cold. You could stay in it as long as you liked without losing the use of your limbs. Giuseppe keeps it in good order. There are sun loungers and a large gazebo with a table and chairs, if you want some shade. Up by the house there’s a long rose covered veranda that follows the curve of the patio, with another table and chairs. This is a good spot to have breakfast. We all really enjoyed our time at Villa Rosa. Thanks Giuseppe!

Rustic Italian Villa
Villa Rosa despite having an air of faded glory is still a beautiful place to stay . There were 7 of us easily accommodated in the large airy house . We made great use of the pool table, table tennis and beautiful secluded outdoor pool area. A car is a must and it took just over an hour to get to Pompeii, about half an hour to Salerno from where we got a ferry along the Amalfi coast to beautiful Positano. Pizzas and beers in the nearby village of s. Cipriano Piscentino were very good and very cheap. One downside - there was a heatwave going on and temperatures were in the high 30s The air conditioning units are only in three of the bedrooms and struggled to keep things cool enough . The top bedroom only had a fan so sleeping was a bit challenging at times - not really in anyones control and sure it’d be fine at cooler times of year . All in all we had a fabulous holiday

our gift to ourselves, to meet our happiness desires
our second visit to Casa Rosa was even better than we had imagined, as we felt more familiar with the home, grounds, and immediate area . We ranged in age from four to seventy five, and fun and distractions were found by all: many books were read by the pool, by the lily pond, or a chair in the shade. Our meals were taken at the shaded outdoor table, all made from local products. The kids explored all over, delighted in the sheep moving down the street, not to mention the beautiful pool, occupied daily, and colorful dragonflies in the lilypond. as for the adults, we have grown to love Italian coffee, and the surprise morning treats from Guiseppe. We explored nearby sights, beaches, towns, but are not finished by far. We will be back Thanks, as always for the memories, Guiseppe .

Amalfi Coast Family Getaway
For nearly 2 weeks Casa Rosa was the perfect property for our extended family to relax and enjoy adventures to the Amalfi Coast and inland areas. Our family of 7 had lovely spaces to share meals, play in the pool , table tennis and billiards or simply relax without being on top of each other. It was the quintessential Italian experience. The location is perfect for exploring the Amalfi coast with ferries to Amalfi, Positano and Isle of Capri and an easy drive to Pompei. The noise from dogs barking during the night did make it difficult to sleep. Giuseppe is a delightful and very welcoming host. Thank you.

Our host Giuseppe could not have been more obliging. The large property with lots of character was exactly what we were hoping for. In a rural area, within close proximity to Pompeii and the Amalfi, and the wonderful city of Salerno. In the heat of the summer, the swimming pool and lovely cool home were a blessing.

A rustic gem
Villa Rosa is a charming country house surrounded by hazelnut trees. It is very rural but has food shops nearby. It is within easy reach of Salerno and the sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum. A car is a must. The villa oozes charm and the facilities were good. In the intense heat we had my daughter found the top bedroom very hot but the fan did cool it down a bit. The air conditioners in the other three bedrooms were a godsend. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The one downside to the property (out of Giuseppe ‘s hands) were the dogs next door. The swimming pool was fantastic. We had family days where we did not go out but spent the days larking in the pool. The terrace table was great to be able to eat all meals outside. Giuseppe was a great host and provided us with ingredients for our 1st evening meal and we also had a surprise delivery of pastries one morning. The communication was very good.

Villa Rosa is a hidden gem. The house is large on 4 floors and oozes rustic charm. The pool was secluded and well appointed with a lovely shaded eating area and sun loungers around. Giuseppe was a charming host and a great source of information. The Villa is in very easy reach of Pompeii, Paestum, Herculaneum, Vesuvius and the Amalfi coast. The local town of San Cipriano Picentino was close, with bars and all other amenities. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and hope to return. Thank you so much Giuseppe!

Spacious home on large property
This restored Villa was nicely remodeled with new tile bathrooms and very spacious rooms for sleeping, sitting and entertainment (a large pool table in the loft). The home was well stocked with kitchen and bath supplies. It was a large property with a beautiful romanesque patio that had a mini kitchen with pleasant outdoor seating and even a ping pong table! We spent a fair amount of time at the large pool area with plenty of seating and landscape lighting. Giuseppe was very accommodating and responsive to any of our needs. The property is a bit of a drive from the autostrada and Salerno but there are two small villages very close for most needs plus restaurants to choose from in the surrounding area.

Lovely property
My three adult children and I enjoyed a lovely week in Giuseppe's villa. The house was full of character; the views from the bedrooms on the second floor were especially good. The little town of San Cipriano nearby was so friendly - very good bakery and delicatessen and the locals were incredibly helpful particularly as we were there with the usual English arrogance of no spoken Italian. There was an excellent pizzeria within easy walking distance of the villa and another restaurant which was quite odd, but served very good food. The roads and Italian drivers are not for the faint hearted but I would much rather be in this location than on the too busy Amalfi coast and peninsula. Giuseppe was lovely. He could not be more helpful; we had quite a bit of wet weather for which he could not apologize enough! Weall wish we were back at Villa Rosa.

A beautiful home away from home
Our family of six (two adults, four children age 8 to 16) loved our stay at Casa Rosa. What a beautiful place! The kids spent endless hours in the pool and playing hide and seek in the house and gardens (lots of nooks to hide in) and in fact we only ventured out once to see Pompeii and Vesuvius because well, you just have to. Nothing was too much trouble for Guiseppe who was a wonderful host and helped us out when our car broke down on the first day. The villa was very well resourced with everything you could need, and plenty of supermarkets and bakeries were close by (not to mention Guiseppe's delicious croissant delivery!). It is a little out in the countryside so not for people who want to be 500m from bars and nightlife and you do need a car. But we loved the isolation and the fact there were no TVs in the rooms! Would highly recommend it to families especially who want to switch off and disconnect for a few days and play Uno instead.

A fabulous villa set in wonderful gardens.
Casa-Villa was better than we could have hoped. There is so much space both within the villa and in the grounds. The villa is has everything you need, lots of bathrooms, good sized bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and even a billiards table! Outside is beautiful with lots of space, shady areas to sit in or eat at and a large swimming pool and table tennis table. In fact all you want to do is stay around the villa as it so relaxing! However there is lots to do in the area so it is really worth venturing out and exploring. The local food is fantastic, including the best pizza we have had in any part of Italy! Giuseppe is a kind and generous host who made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend Casa-Villa and the area around San Cipriano Picentino.

our holiday experience.
first of all PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT , JOSEPH WILL CHARGE YOU FOR ELECTRICITY. SO PLEASE PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT. we were charged extortionate euros for 8 days even when we were out for 4 days and always got back late .but as we did not read the contract and had no money left he let us off. THANKS VERY MUCH JOSEPH. YOU ARE STAYING NEXT TO A SMALL FARM WITH DOGS CONSTANTLY BARKING THROUGH THE NIGHT AND CATS IN THE GARDEN GOING THROUGH THE RUBBISH. our view of the property it is a beautiful villa but joseph has done the basic work on it for rental purposes the pool area needs fixing and the garden furniture needs replacing as it is very old. if you have young children watch them as if they wonder of they may hurt themselves as part of the garden area needs fencing off because it is a bit unsafe. as for joseph cleaning the pool he did it once while we were there and we had to clear all the leaves and dead bugs out of the pool before we got in. he needs a new barbecue as the one there is rusty and falling to bits. the pizza oven has not been used in a very long time. all the leaflets in the villa need throwing out as they are useless and out of date. TRAVEL. a car is ok but walking is ok as well, you have about a 20 minute walk to the village and it is all uphill so be warned you will be tired when you get to the top.there is only one bus stop and that is in the village and you purchase the tickets from the tobacconist or the ice cream parlour. we walked it every day the view is gorgeous and it was very hot. so we had beer and croissant for breakfast when we got to the top.always catch the bus salerno. in salerno the train station is about 10 mins walk and you can travel about anywhere. the transport is punctual and very clean. if you want to travel to ROME book in advance by rail as it is 40 euros each on the day .THE VILLAGE there are no resteraunts outside the village as stated by joseph everything is in the village you need for your stay. if you need any help about anything ask vincenzo or enrico at the 442 pub in the village, they speak a little english but have an app translater on there mobile, we had many a good conversation and drinks with them. the village people are very friendly , by the 4th day they were saying hello to us and we were treated very very well. the village made our holiday SPECIAL. we have been asked by the local people to return next year and enrico has found us a place to stay so off to italy next year, thanks joseph fo
