The furniture in the room was broken and old, the room smelled bad and room walls were dirty. The shower was in a really bad condition. There were usually one or two homeless individuals sitting exactly outside the property door which made the area unsafe.

Found used condoms on our bed, and the maids were unbelievably judgmental and rude. I would NEVER recommend staying here. Claimed we smoked weed in our room to try and keep our deposit. My hubby has dreads and the maid instantly judged him as homeless, and the mabager refused to speak to me. Horrible hotel. The bathtub is disgusting, and the floor was extremely dirty with used condoms under the bed. Horrible judgment there. All i have to say, is their karma will get them

Never stay here. Hotel is dated, needs major work to most of the bathrooms. Rooms farthest from office take forever to get hot water. Most showers or tub shower combos are missing grout and actual enamel in tubs.

I have been staying there off and on for 3 years due to work. Was told today they have to deep clean my room due to poop on the bed. Wanted me to pay X amountfor the cleaning. Told them I didn't have the money and had no idea what they were talking about. He said I could pay Y amount if I wanted to keep my reservation. They can keep my deposit and I walked away. Never stay here. Anything they can do to keep your deposit they will.

They will do anything to keep your deposit. Last time I wasn't refunded my deposit because the overnight person thought I had ripped the smoke detector down. It has been on the table for 3 days. Housekeeping cleaned around it. Had to go back on my lunch break to get my deposit. Luckily she agreed and it was refunded.

Water line broke. No water in hotel. They were in no hurry to fix it. Went 12hours with no toilet. Not their fault but they still should not have been renting rooms when they knew they had no water.

Attentive staff. Close to restaurants. Reasonably close to Temple Square. Smoking on outside stairs not permitted, but saw 2 people doing it anyway.

Their extension process requires an hour and is unlike other hotels I’ve stayed at. The outside is aging but inside the room is great. Beds are good. Only negative for the room is the electric outlet is by the door. The bathroom outlet didn’t work. No trees so your car will bake in summer even with a sun visor

Right in the middle of SLC
Perfect location in downtown SLC. The property is older, needs some sprucing up on the exterior, but room interiors are nice, clean, and the value vs. price is excellent.

The room itself is pretty good especially the bed. The only reason I took off stars was their extension procedure/ policy and no outlets by the bed. You have to use 1 by the door since the bathroom outlet didn’t work

The staff presume you will be a problem, and by their presumptions generate problems where none would otherwise exist. There are reasons to come to this motel anyway. If you know them, this won't matter. It's a strange game of plausable deniability cat-and-mouse between the staff and most of the clientele. But it's fascinating to watch, esp on the weekends.

Property is very old and in need of updating. Bathroom was gross. We didn’t dare use the shower. Elevator was sketchy. Seems like the hotel also has some longer term tenants that were a little off putting Staff was very nice and helpful.

Worst hotel ever
I am deeply disappointed with this hotel and hotel.com. Since I am traveling around the US,the journey is always long. I booked a room at midnight and arrived at the hotel at 6 AM, but the front desk told me I could not check-in at that time because it was past midnight. At that time, I was very tired and did not argue about this issue; I paid for another room on the spot. After I woke up from a nap, I started to resolve this issue. The front desk told me that I could not check-in after midnight. I pulled up the hotel's booking page and showed it to him. He clearly saw that there was no mention of the latest check-in time during the booking process. Then he began to argue that all hotels are like this, not allowing check-in after midnight, which is really funny because it was my first time encountering such a situation. He emphasized that the confirmation email he sent me contained the latest check-in time. I asked him why these rules were not placed on the booking page for guests to see in advance. I also have another question: If the hotel does not accept check-ins after midnight, why did it allow me to book the room at midnight? Hotel.com also failed to handle this matter properly. Their customer service kept making excuses, earning enough commission while allowing such unfair things to happen. In their eyes, the rights of tourists are worthless.
