Good one night stay near NOS events center

I carefully hunted for a room with the distance from NOS events center in mind to be semi close to the event center without overpaying for a room. This hotel is about 5 miles away & the most fairly priced room I found. Having stayed at a holiday inn before I knew what to expect. The rooms were clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Pretty small bathroom tho, & Water pressure wasn’t great but it worked. the toilet did get clogged once for no reason (but it did fix itself after a minute so it ended up being okay). Overall, for a one night stay after an event, it worked for me and my boyfriend. My only thing I wished I would have known is that even thought I did choose the pay at hotel property, my card was charged a day before I even arrived, and the card I intended to use was a different one than the one I used to secure the room with, and my card declined. So early morning prior to check in, I get a call from the hotel that my reservation was going to be canceled, unless I give them a call by 1pm. I called right away but they were so busy it did take quite some time to get someone on the phone. It got cleared up and they were nice about it. But it gave me quite a scare that I’d have to find other accommodations last minute. They said it was because on big event days their system will charge the cards ahead of the day. Which makes sense, but I never received any notice of that. It would have been helpful to know that and avoided stress. Overall still a good stay. Would return.

Noisy and unclean

We stayed for business and had a terrible stay. The room was not clean there was hair in the shower, on the toilet, the bathroom floor and on the sheets. The worst was toe nail clippings on thy floor by the bed. The hotel is close to rail road tracks. The noise is pretty bad all day and night. The breakfast was decent and it is right off the freeway.

Very thin walls and train horn all night

The hotel is a bit run down. Furniture all chipped and very rough around the edges. It was clean and the bed was comfy. We went to bed around 9 and were woken up by people being incredibly loud down at the pool at around 10:30. This stopped but they must have come up to the room next to us and turned on music very loud the proceeded to very loudly make love for 2 hours. My entire family heard it at some point while in and out of sleep. You could hear everything. If the neighbors weren’t keeping us up, the train and its horn would go off almost every hour right when I was nodding off to sleep.

Yes? That’s how i was greeted as i walked in to check in. The young lady was very rude. The bathroom didn’t seem it was cleaned thoroughly. The people in nearby rooms were so loud, we called the front desk to complain at 3am. It wasn’t a great experience
