2 days 2 night stay. Took two rooms. Came in late check in. Staff are friendly. Room is cozy. Mirrors are noticed to be one way. Tip of finger would touch the tip of reflection. I don’t know if this is worth mentioning but for people who have experienced finding hidden cameras on hotels, this is a no-no, but if you don’t care, the stay is ok

The Hampton Inn San Diego was a convenient location near Little Italy and other tourist attractions in the area that was within walking distance. Staff allowed me to check-in early when my layover flight was moved forward. Hotel was clean and service readily available. Thank you

The elevators were under construction. So only one worked and you could not take the stairs to the lobby bc they led to the wrong place. And the only elevator that worked was very very slow. They should have staggered leave times or bkfst to help manage the wait times.

I love how close it is from the train station, within walking distance. It takes 9 minutes to walk to the train station. There is also a lot of wonderful places to explore in Little Italy, the Farmer's Market on Saturday, was an absolute GEM!

Overall great stay really clean staff was great and so was the breakfast. Only thing not an issue since I didn’t mind is the train that passes every 10 minutes and yes you can hear it.

First off I’ll start by saying, if you book through a 3rd party they will treat you terribly and give you the worst room possible with no flexibility. Our room was 2 windows away from a VERY busy commenter train from 6am-12am and the. The freight trains came through the night. Not enough garage parking for all guests. Elevators were down so we had to carry our bags up and down stairs. Never again.

We arrived at 12pm there was a room ready but was suggested to wait a couple of hours as the room faced the tram that is noise and runs all night. Our room in my opinion was an upgrade facing the waterfront. We could see our cruise ship and able to walk to it. Great location just a short walk to Little Italy.

Tje hotel works well if you are leaving on a cruise. The design of the property is wrong. It is "u" shaped with the U facing the railway tracks. If and when the train goes by it is very loud. The breakfast was good the room was okay.
