Extremely convenient location for walking around San Diego. Especially close to Little Italy and Downtown areas. Less than a 5 min walk to the trolley station where you can reach most anywhere in San Diego.

My room for my stay was very comfortable and clean, very roomy and had a fairly nice view. The area around the hotel was a bit noisy, you could hear commotion in the streets and the train near by. There is a fire station right at the corner that I assume could be heard as well. When I arrived I was informed their parking garage was full and was given an alternative parking option that would be $30 for the night (the property charges $40). Unfortunately what wasn’t told to me is that there was no in-and-out of the other parking garage and if you park before midnight you’ll be charged the overnight rate and the rate from when you entered. Ended up paying $45.

Parking fee was too high ($40 a night) especially during the hotel renovation, also water was leaking from the ceiling in the parking garage, it was scarey. Water fell on my hair. Who knows where that water was from. On our first day only one elevator was working and it would literally take like 10 mins to come back down. Fire alarms went off on the first night. Light flickering in the bathroom. Requested towels in the am and they never showed up I had to call back again when we arrived back at the hotel. Not going to stay here anymore.

Incorrect room type was given and the front desk staff didn't want to help and told me to contact expedia to fix it. Expedia agent called and fixed it for me right away and i checked out the next day to what was supposed to be a 2 night stay. Wouldnt stay here again or at any hampton inn going forward as it was a very unpleasant and uncomfortable first impression of the property.

looks like they're under renovation, the room we stayed at was clean obly problem was the ac, it gets loud at night, and complimentary breakfast is good, I wish they have more varieties atleast not the same menu in two days, we liked the hotel because it was walking distance to the waterfront, close to lots of tourist spots sspots

The location was perfect and the hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so good and there was plenty. We would most certainly stay here again! Perfect for going to the Midway and rolling our suitcases to the cruise park. So close!
