Very happy with our choice with La Pensione! Very close to all areas! Very walkable with many many restaurants and bars close by! Staff was very attentive and pleasant! We requested new towels etc. Two different times and they IMMEDIATELY brought them to our room! Cute and delicious cafe downstairs! Would definitely return if we come back to San Diego! Thank you to all!

We stayed for two nights while exploring San Diego. It was a mixed bag. Positives: great location in Little Italy, easy and relatively inexpensive parking, friendly check-in, nice coffee shop adjoining the hotel. Negatives: our room was tiny (no place to sit), the A/C was loud and air blew down on the bed making it uncomfortable, weird smells in hallways because the property is old and no air in common spaces. Bottom line- the price was fair and we weren't in the room much, which made it acceptable.

Being right in the middle of little Italy, it's unique, from my window I could see the bay, dining options all around a very nice area. Was staying 4 days for work during the week. Quiet at night

We stayed at this hotel as part of our anniversary trip to San Diego. We really liked the staff who were friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and no frills but the location is great. There are so many great restaurants and bars within walking distance. No bookstores though. Overall, the hotel is situated so you aren’t too far from fun things to do. We took a ride share to balboa park and walked to and from the train station. I am unsure about accommodations for disabled travelers as there are front steps and the rooms are quite small; however, there are ADA signs posted and the staff were very helpful, so perhaps there are other rooms available that would be fine.

The placement of this hotel is in the center of everything in Little Italy. Morning Glory bunch bar is across the street along with majority of everything being a short walk.

It could do more to upgrade amenities such as coffee in the room which is already a staple in most medium and top level hotels. There was an antiseptic odor as I first entered the room, the kind you smell in cheap motels, even if this was far from a cheap motel as it does have a boutique hotel quality when all is said and done .

Staff was very friendly and great price. Right in the middle of all attractions and dinning. Cafe right on site and very good. I like that we did not have room service everyday. We are clean and we never have room service so that is why i like this place.

This is our go to place! The rooms are small and it’s pricey to stay there but we love it! La Pensione is right in the center of where the action is with lots of wonderful restaurants to choose from! We walk to Seaport Village which is close by!

My husband and I recently stayed at La Pensione Hotel in Little Italy, San Diego, during Comic-Con, and it was a fantastic experience! Perfect for exploring the neighborhood and attending Comic-Con events. •Ambiance: The hotel has a charming European vibe, which adds a unique touch to your stay. •Amenities: Free high-speed WiFi, 24-hour front desk, and a cozy atmosphere.
