If could give the hotel a 4.75 instead of 5 stars I would only because I feel that hotel guests should get some perks for staying at the hotel such as shorter lines for ordering a cocktail (lines are really long) at their beautiful bars.... that being said that's the only recommendation I would have for the Lafayette. Property is beautiful and the holiday decorations are amazing. I highly recommend. Will have a staycation during the summer because the pool area looks amazing.

One of the most unique and amazing hotel experiences of a lifetime! I simply don't have the words to suitably describe and capture the authentic originality of the hotel. Every detail purposely placed and made for us to experience. It was a true joy to stay here for our honeymoon.

It’s a neat place. It’s a party hotel for sure. Rooms are odd but in keeping with the New Orleans theme. No room service. No Kleenex in the rooms unless you ask. Comfortable bed. No room safe. Was a neat experience but likely not stay there again.

The hotel is extremely, wildly noisy on the weekend. It is a totally legitimate choice but it is completely irresponsible not to alert patrons of the situation before their stay. I’d proceed with caution for any weekend, unless you are sure you want to stay up partying or listening to beats and screams, or unless you make sure you have a quiet room. Also, worst pillows we have ever had at a hotel, by far. Just horrific. The staff is uneven and often disinterested in helping. They are more Responsive on text than in person. And, they interact with their own restaurants and spaces on third party platforms, which is bizarre.

It was a beautiful property however we were unable to have seating in front of our room because there wasn’t any and all the other lounge chairs were taken by check in. We did get early check in by 2pm but even with adding names to the room I had to be the one to order things for the room at the front desk. Service time for drinks is long on a Saturday but staff was kind! Loved their in room details but wish we would have been given priority or had lounge chairs in front of our room. It was a corner room so perhaps that was why. The next morning same thing, by 7am all lounge chairs had stuff saving the chair. I will be back but I guess I need to plan accordingly for the pool area!

This was such a unique place. It was like a magical world, i wish i could stay longer. Its definitely a perfect destination for a short getaway trip. Plus, it was already decorated for christmas which i did not expect for my stay. All the stuff were very freindly and helpful, i recommend anyone who enjoys a colorful world.
