This is our go-to for staying right on Pacific Beach. We love this place! Staff is always friendly and warm, and although it’s not fancy, it has everything we need for a peaceful stay. No microwave in the room, but one in the lobby for our needs. Looking forward to our next stay!

Good views of the beach from our balcony overlooking the pool. Excellent walk ability to bars and restaurants in the area. Room was clean and very comfortable. We had a minor issue with a tv controller malfunctioning, but the hotel staff quickly resolved it. Bed was especially comfortable! Parking is an issue. Available Free parking is very limited. The hotel also offers parking at about $40/d.

Great stay
We had a great stay! The room was clean. The building is older, although theyve done a good job of maintaining it. They offer room service when requested. We didnt feel the need to have it daily and just got extra supplies as needed. We liked that they weren't in and out of the room. Location is good. Basically walk right out to the beach. We'll definitely stay again!

Good location and right on the beach. Besides that, the only positive thing the hotel has is the ocean view, for an extra charge. Everything else about the property is poor, starting with the dated and rundown state of the whole building and rooms with old furniture and stained carpets that need to get replaced. Being an old property with no updates, the thin walls expose the guests to all the noise from other rooms and the street next to it. You'll get awakened very early every morning by the loud beeping of the garbage trucks, which goes on for a while, and if you're "lucky" like me, also by yapping dogs in the next room (paper thin walls!). According to Expedia, it's supposed to be a no-pets hotel -should be due to the thin walls and lack of insulation. But the hotel rude front desk guy admonished me when I complained about the barking dog, after I endured it for 1/2 hour and woke me up at 7, and told me they are a very pet friendly hotel...maybe so, but not very people friendly, judging by my experience. I requested upgrade to front view room when I checked in, for extra charge of course, and they put me next to the elevator and supply/maintenance room, though they had plenty of other rooms as I found out next morning. So after a terrible very early noisy morning I switched rooms, but it was dirty, the tiny bathroom had a dumped bottle of some goop covering half the floor, also a dead moth, and it smelled stale. Had to endure rude guy yelling at me to get a decent room!

Stay here for the view!! The room was old and the sheets were dirty. The front office staff did not assist with my concerns. You have to pay for parking. Surrounding restaurants and the beach made it doable for one night. Would not stay here again.
