Parking lot is very constricted and shared with nearby Holiday Inn express and cars have to negotiate acute turns within the garage. There is no elevator from parking lot to Hotel lobby and you’ll have to come out to the street and walk for a distance to enter the hotel lobby. But the staff are excellent and very friendly.

Great Stay

I recently stayed at TownePlace Suites San Diego Downtown with my family, and overall, we had a great experience. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the city. The hotel condition was excellent, and everything was very clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. However, there were a couple of minor issues. We didn't receive housekeeping services during our 3-night stay, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the breakfast time ended at 9 am, which felt a bit early for us, and the breakfast area was quite small and crowded. Despite these small inconveniences, we had a pleasant stay and would consider returning in the future.

From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. My room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved waking up to the stunning views from my window. The hotel’s attention to detail was evident everywhere—from the fresh linens to the thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water and toiletries. The location was perfect, close to all the major attractions but still offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. I also appreciated the on-site dining options; the breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to assist with any request. Whether it was helping with directions, suggesting local activities, or ensuring my room was in top condition, they consistently exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend TownePlace suites to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I can’t wait to return on my next trip!

There is no house keeping at this property and free breakfast is a hoax. By the time you go down everything is gone and they don’t fill it back. For the prices they charge, i wouldn’t recommend

Good location. Couldn't park my truck in the cramped garage, and it was a $35 per day charge regardless. The fitted sheets didn't fit the bed properly. Both mattresses worn out and had no support. The towels were like sandpaper. The environment was often noisy, including loud music blasting late at night.

The property was clean, the staff was great, but they need some improvement with the breakfast. The one person replenishing the food was overwhelmed. They only have one toaster, the line was long waiting to toast your bread/muffin/bagel.

Two day stay with baby- beds very uncomfortable, water pressure in shower nonexistent, the toilet kept running, the phone went off in the middle of the night saying the device being paired with it was not compatible (wasn’t pairing a device with their phone in the middle of the night, so no idea what that was about), overall condition of the room was meh.
