The staff are friendly and responsive. The room was super clean and I had what I needed, once the internet was reset. The manager told me she'd get it working, and she did. Note, if you have problems accessing the internet, it may be due to your phone. I was able to get online with my tablet but not my phone. The shared bathroom was always clean. The shower was so-so. I had no issues regulating the temp as another guest noted. It's just slow to respond so you have to be patient when adjusting the temperature. I wasn't keen on styrofoam cups for the coffee, but for the rates they charge I was pleased to get complimentary coffee that was much better than the typical hotel room packets.
The service was phenomenal, very friendly staff. However, the area itself was not the best. This was a last minute booking for me so I got what I paid for but it was a bit uncomfortable. The surrounding area is not the best, especially down the street at the Bart stop there were tons of homeless people wandering and trying to talk to me. Also; I woke up with bed bug bites all over my arms. I’ve not ever had that problem before with any hotel so this was a bit of a shock.
My go to for San Fran exploring on a budget. Very accommodating staff and the area is prime for local food and attractions. I was on and off trains and buses to explore on my work down days and everything I needed to do and get was within walking distance.
I knew this is a low end hotel in view of its price. I booked this one just because it is close to the Bart station. But when I came to the hotel I was shocked. It’s much lower than I expected. The property is so poor and surrounding areas are so terrible. I felt very unsafe when police not present especially at night. Bedding is old and dirty. I didn’t take off my clothes to sleep. At night I was so cold then had to use blanket covering the lower part of my body. The promised Wi-Fi didn’t work. I talked with the manager, she tried to fix but no use. Finally the Wi-Fi worked on 2nd day. The managers are nice but the property and amenities are really bad. I think Expedia shouldn’t have that low hotel on its list. I will never use it.
This hotel was not as advertised. I have never had to simply leave a hotel because I did not feel the area or space was safe. There were not private toilets, you have to share them with everyone on the floor. The front desk manager was very nice and I felt badly that I had to leave in such a rush, but it was a waste of money and I wish it had been advertised more honestly. The area as well has gotten very dangerous, which was very sad to see. I would not recommend this spot unless you are a man traveling alone looking for any room to crash in for one night or if you need housing for a few days.
