We arrived from a late night flight at approx 1 AM. We were meeting a tour group and had come one day early. I asked if we could stay on the same room for the two nights of the tour. We were told we would have to pay an up charge because the tour rooms were a lesser category. We were very tired and debated the price. The desk clerk told,us to think about it and tell him in the morning. When we got to the room our safe was broken and we could not put our passports in it. We called the desk and someone came to our room and worked on the safe. By the time the safe was fixed and we got to sleep it as about 2:30 am. We had booked a morning tour so we up early had breakfast and told the clerk we would stay I. The room and pay the extra charge. We were told the hotel was full and we could not stay in the same room so we had to quickly repack All our belongings and check them to meet our tour. The misinformation was not acceptable. Had we known we would have to leave the room after one night we would not have used the safe and would not have unpacked our bags as we did
