Pretty average hotel and a modest step up from Motel 6. Manager wanted to charge me $25 for early check in by 1 hour which was a joke so I just killed an hour across the street. The location was great, parking easy and it served my basic needs fine. Decent value but overall a pretty average experience

For an ADU room, the cement floors are freezing, no carpets,the placement of all ADU rooms are noisy due to restaurant parking directly apart, pool and Jacuzzi not accessible!! The beds were like sleeping on a rock slab! But worst all was the rude, inhospitable, lying front desk person!! They never answer phones at all! He sits there without even acknowlodging you at all! I was lied to when whoever called me back (and they were very polite and friendly). They told me to call Expedia for a refund. Expedia claims I was late checking out. Again front desk guy ignored us so my caregiver tossed him the key. No check out, NADA! I will not deal either of you again! The pictures are very deceiving! It's not as nice as the pictures.

Catching up with friends at Cal Poly homecoming
Older property, that's fine, updated flooring and tv. Minimal amenities, no breakfast or snacks although McD, Dennys and Ihop next door, grocery store across street. Convenient to 101 and other services, next door is Madonna Inn. Most annoying thing was lack of blackout curtains and intense LED exterior lighting, hard to sleep, not dark enough, super agitating. Review higher if room had the necessary black out drapes! So, cost somewhat high relative to value, I thought...

Day of check-in, was harassed via text, email, and phone to give an ETA that I didn't have. Room's AC unit was so loud that it disrupted my sleep. Bed blanket was rough and scratchy. Hotel WiFi timed out every time I attempted to connect. Shower pipes rattled like a failing engine when in use. Received another amount text the next morning regarding checkout time.

The vegabond has a bit of wear and tear but overall a great property to lay your head. It was clean. The outside firepits where welcomed on foggy cool nights. AC worked great.

My favorite place to stay when I visit my son at Cal Poly! Close to freeway & restaurants. Great location! Rooms are basic but very clean. Great rates too.
