Our one night stay at The Watermark was very enjoyable! We were greeted by the lovely front desk staff who made check in quick and easy. We were given a welcome drink upon arrival which we redeemed at the rooftop bar/restaurant which overlooks the ocean. We stayed in an ocean view room with a balcony and the view was AMAZING! Our room was clean, comfortable, and cool. The hotel is located in a great location with markets, bars, and additional restaurants close by. The hotel is currently under a bit of construction so I can only imagine how wonderful things will be once the renovations are done.

Amazing property, very clean. The staff was pleasant and had great service. I had a lovely room. The staff cleaned the rooms everyday. Love the rooftop pool and bar. I was glad and thankful the room had a microwave and the room had great views of the ocean. Nice hotel. If I could give a 100 stars I would. Definitely enjoyed my stay and will come back in the future.

Overall, the stay was okay. It was the taxi transport the property arranged that was questionable. Alfonso picked me up at the San Pedro airport and let me stop at the bank. After I arrived at the hotel, my card went missing. I attempted to contact Alfonso but he did not answer. Alfonso also connected me with Wassam with Maya Golf Cart Rentals who also attempted to steal my friends phone and cash app card. Just be aware when setting up transportation through the hotel.

I loved this property. My hot water wasn't working when I got there...but, it was fixed promptly. My air conditioning went out, one night...but, it was fixed promptly. Other than that, I would have given this property 5 stars. The young lady that attended my room was the absolute best. My room was very good. The food and drink I had was 3 star...but, the people in my party rated it higher. In closing, I would highly recommend this hotel... ...especially, if you get the view from my room that I got (4 floor room 404).

My room was on the street side. I heard everything, golf carts, motorcycles, people talking. My room didn't have a balcony, but I could hear housekeeping sweeping the room and the balcony next to mine in the morning.

The property was clean but had a few issues.. literally nothing else to do there, no casino, no entertainment, no gym.. and gym part really shocked me. There were no dressers in room so we had no where to put our clothes, no iron either. It rained terribly there and our balcony filled with water. The air conditioner leaked water all over the place although they fixed it immediately. Then there was no water for most of the day. Once it came back on, it was brown and stayed brown for hours. It’s a new property and definitely needs some work.

First of all, I’ve read a lot of reviews on here about the hotel before we booked it. I’ve also been to Belize almost 10 times and absolutely LOVE it for so many different reasons, it would take too long to review here. Watermark has been recently renovated. Here’s why my review will be different from others: I know what kind of travelers my husband and I are. If you are looking for a 5-star, Starbucks in the lobby with marble floors kind of stay, don’t stay in Ambergris Caye - at all. This island has the incredible, mom-and-pop kind of feel that so many people long for these days. Don’t come to Belize with American expectations. Accept that there will likely be power outages and get outside and enjoy the beautiful Belizean breezes. Learn to live with the small things Americans consider “inconveniences.” The hotel management is supreme. They’re so sweet and attentive to all their customers’ needs. Never ran out of hot water. We have stayed at a variety of places on the mainland and island and this was a beautiful, charming little place with plenty of charisma and lovely and warm people. We spent our 5 year anniversary here and they decorated our room upon our arrival. Please be kind when you leave reviews here, Belizeans are incredible people who are so loving and gracious, they have an incredible gem of a country and they know it and are proud of it - as they should be! Would (and will) absolutely come back.

I liked the super friendly staff that was always willing to help no matter what time of day it was. I liked the fact that the rooms looked newly remodeled and updated. I didn't like the fact that there was only one chair in the occupied by two people. There was no where to sit other than the bed. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay at the Watermarkhotel
