Great ocean view, but the rest needs improvements
The ocean view room was amazing because of the floor to ceiling windows and the position of the bed facing the ocean. The room was small, but decent enough. The only 3 things that I didn’t like was that it didn’t have a closet and there were a few issues with the bathroom. The sink was too small, it was clogged and it didn’t have any storage space. The shower was also clogged, the shower curtain was dingy and dirty, there were hairs on the walls and there was absolutely no space to place the soap, shampoo/conditioner, or anything really. Lastly, the towels were too old and super thin and the pillows were too small.

My stay at this hotel was terrible. The sheets smelled bad (like they were dirty), as did the towels. The shower curtain was full of mold, and the shower floor smelled like urine. They didn’t provide shampoo or conditioner, and when we asked, the manager told us that the “shower gel” was meant to be used as shampoo and conditioner. The rooms don’t have closets, just a small rack to hang your clothes. The TV doesn’t have cable, only Netflix. The internet gets turned off at 10:30 PM, which means you also lose access to the TV at that time. The hotel entrance is in terrible condition; the road isn’t suitable for low cars, with big potholes that can damage your vehicle. The staff is very friendly and does what they can, but I definitely wouldn’t stay here again, and I don’t recommend it. ———————————————————— Mi estadía en este hotel fue horrible, las sábanas olían feo (como si estuvieran sucias) igual que las toallas, la cortina de la ducha estaba llena de hongos y el piso de la ducha olía a orina. No nos proporcionaron shampoo ni acondicionador y cuando preguntamos la encargada nos dijo que el “shower gel” era el que se usaba como shampoo y acondicionador…. Las habitaciones no tienen closet solo un pequeño rack para colgar tu ropa, la televisión no tiene cable solo Netflix… el internet lo apagan a las 10:30pm por lo cual a esa hora también te quedas sin TV… La entrada al hotel está terrible la calle no es para carro bajito, hay hoyos feos donde puedes lastimar tu carro.

Stay here if you want to experience a beautiful ocean view and the sound of waves crashing on the reef. The hotel is simple, clean and well maintained. The staff is helpful and friendly. As mentioned in other reviews, the short drive from the main highway to the hotel has some pot holes. But they are not uncommon in El Salvador. Hotel breakfast and restaurant serve good food. The staff are great. The pool was wonderful with beautiful nightly sunsets. The WiFi was adequate for general needs and calls. Not strong enough for video calls. Highly recommend walking down the stairs to the reef. At low tide, of course.

Stayed for one and it was nice! Clean, and beautiful views but the rooms were small with small windows unless you had the ocean view rooms. The food was good but the restaurant wasn’t staffed well and took a very long time. Would stay again for a brief stay, very close to La Libertad and El Tunco.

Me gustó la vista al Océano, pero lo que no me gustó fue los Baños, cuando uno se está bañando, la regadera no tienen puertas y eso hace que tola el agua salga y se moje todo el piso del Baño y uno tiene que estar secando el piso.

The view is absolutely beautiful. We couldn’t get to the beach but it is walkable through the rocks when the tide is low. Great value for the price.

Really, really satisfied...
This place is a gem. There are other bigger properties around but I doubt the service is as personalized as this little place. The staff is simply amazing. Front desk Edigo was as helpful and amiable as only he can be. One of the reasons I like small properties is the service and I got it here. The pictures on the website do not give this place enough justice. The place is beautiful. It's right on the water. The entrance is not what you would expect but all you have to do is blow your horn and voila, the gate will open. 😀 The breakfast though limited was great. The cocktails could use improvement but the drinks were acceptable. There are stores around where you can buy water and soft drinks for a cheaper price. Surf City is still under construction but there are plenty of places to eat and drink. I will definitely return to this area and property.

Except for the morning bar/restaurant employee, Karla, I believe her name is, everyone seemed to not care about guests; especially the evening crews, and mainly the receptionist! Property pool is misleading as there is no tree in the pool. We paid for a room looking to the ocean but evening receptionist tried to push a hidden room. Towels were old and smelly; floor smelled so bad that we could not sleep at night; nothing to wash your hair with, except a small 3oz shower gel which was of the cheapest quality. When we asked receptionist for a small shampoo or soap bar, he said he'd deliver to our room but never stopped by ( so frustrating!) Road to get to hotel is so hidden only locals probably knew how to get to; so bumpy and rocky that even our truck had some difficulty getting there. DEFINITELY, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR VISIT AGAIN

We were able to take Uber to this property. They served a typical breakfast, coffee, orange juice scrambled eggs beans fried bananas. This was included with the stay. Other meals we ate there were good. The room was small. Our room was on the back side with only a small window in the bathroom. Rooms on the ocean side had sliding glass doors. Air conditioning was great. Pool was on the small side but not overcrowded and felt great to cool off.Cold water showers which is typical. Good selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. We didn’t leave the property and felt safe. Staff was attentive and used google translation. For the price it was worth staying there.
