Upon check-in, we learned that there was no elevator, which was a problem for my aging mother, but the gentleman at the front desk quickly changed her room to be on the ground floor even though it was a double bed room, and didn’t charge us more. That was very well handled.
The cleaning staff we were friendly and good at their jobs. All the linens seemed clean and fresh.
You can tell that they were trying to make the hotel nice and updated, (new furniture in the rooms, new tile in the hallways, fresh paint), but a lot of the other parts were worn out, i.e, the doors to the outside, the ice machines, and they painted over doors or walls that needed to be patched better first. Still not sure about the carpet in there.
Overall, it was an incredible value for a place to stay and I appreciated what they are trying to accomplish by providing an affordable, clean, nice place. There’s room for improvement though.
