The most amazing thing at the Inn at Vanessie was the food. The chicken enchiladas were fabulous. Breakfast was a delightful surprise. We were expecting coffee and a pastry, but it was a full buffet breakfast, and was very good. The room was ok, but the lighting in the bathroom was almost non-existent. The bed was firm, but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Immerse yourself in the culture and history. Enjoy the attention to detail and fabulous staff. Sometimes places are nice, but not worth the price. This is not one of those places.

The place is beautiful that’s for sure loved the charm and aesthetic. Staff very friendly and the breakfast was great! The refrigerator was extremely small nearly enough to fit leftovers which had a glass door on it and LED lights on 24/7 which was ridiculous sleeping at night. The door to the Zuni room was glass and had a cheap plastic blind over it which offered no privacy from the outside. From standing outside at night looking into the door you could see into our room.

The Room we stayed in was fine. We found we needed more counter space in the small bathroom. The toilet is out dated and very low to the ground. Breakfast was very good! Thank you, Kris and Audrey Buehler

The receptionist was great and gave us great recommendations on restaurants! However, it was our first time here and they placed us right off the road with power lines all over and we could hear all the noise from road. Then we noticed their was no air conditioning ( heater) thank goodness it had a ceiling fan but still very stuffy in room. Very limited in lighting in bathroom. We really didn’t get good sleep due to the noise outside and because we were on the bottom floor we could hear people walking above us and boards creaking over our bed. The fabric on bench and chair in room was dirty looking and should be replaced with leather maybe? We were so disappointed and hope they take this advice and make it better. We feel it was overpriced for what we got too. :-(

Travelers most want a clean room free of cleaning smells, a comfortable bed, a decent side chair, a quiet working HVAC system. My room was clean with a comfortable bed. I’d rate my room at 3 stars. Friendly, pleasant staff willing to resolve issues. They seemed to understand that the rooms need refurbished and did their best to make guests happy. I rate hotel staff at 5. Quiet lobby with a great bar, excellent breakfast, excellent simple dinner menu that could be easily overlooked…try the chicken enchiladas plate or the hummus appetizer. The bar is well stocked. I rate the amenities at 5 stars. Absolutely a great location; walkable to museums, plaza, galleries and so much more. Wish the owner would update the rooms! Staying here depends o the level of comfort that you want.
