Love the decor, in short the hotel looks like a 5-star hotel with a 0-star service. The service on the area of pool at 5 pm is horrible, I ordered a passion fruit Margarita it's either they didn't know how to make it or the passion fruit was spoiled, the server didn't know anything about the items on the menu. They gave me a dirty toilet with pee stains all over it from who knows when, dirty bathroom and I took pictures of it. The a valet guy that worked on the evening of Wednesday the 24th of September talked to me as if I was his helper or he was my boss. Humiliating. In conclusion, I feel like as the hotel had stick their hands into my pocket and stole my money. Thank you very Catalonia

There was a roach in our first room. The AC did not adjust and it was too cold. Our second room, the AC did not adjust so it was too hot. I also got food poisoning from the restaurant on property.

Sweet and sour

Almost everything in this hotel is excellent. The staff is very kind and helphul. The facilities are well kept. The rooms are clean and very spacious. The location is great, very close to the colonial zone and right on the malecon. The viwe from our room was breathtaking. However, there is a deal breaker for us. The AC unit sound is deafening. Like a freight train. We asked the front desk about this and they gave us another room, which was just the same. Fortunately for us, my wife came out with the idea of cooling the room during the day and turning it off at around midnight. This work ok. We beleive, because this is an old hotel, the AC units need to be replaced. But, in a hotel this big, that task, we understand is complicated. So, if you don't mind the noise, this is a place that you woud enjoy.
