Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown was convenient to restaurants and shopping in the area. And it was close to family and friends that we came to visit.

It was ok for what we needed it for. The room was outdated and the card reader outside didn’t work. The staff was friendly enough to us, but if you seemed to bother them, they were quick to attitude. Also depended on who was out. The girl at the front desk when we checked out was lovely.
We did receive a message before our stay that there was a $7 parking fee but that was not in fact the case. However, parking is extremely limited.
Also, beware if you buy breakfast before hand. It does not show on the receipt and they will try to charge you an additional $15 a person.
All in all, not the worst experience, but not the best. If you need a quick place to rest your head for the night, this will do it.
Terrible! We couldn’t really stay there. We had a shower, organized some things and left few hours later. The place was not only dirty, it was unsanitary. I’ve never seen something that disgusting. No sheet on the bed, stained towels, stinky room, candies, paper and plastic on the floor.
I’ve stayed in other garden inn’s before, they were simple, but not bad. But this one is just unbelievable.
Something is off about the guest rating for this location. I travel for work and a gues rating of 8 doesn’t reflect reality. At the time of my stay (mid December ’24) the hotel next door (Hampton inn which is under the same ownership) is going through a massive remodel. The work crew was occupying most of the 2nd floor which is where I was assigned a room. Upon exiting the elevator, the scent of food cooking was overwhelming! Many of the guest rooms on the 2nd floor were left open and people were walking freely from one room to another carrying food. The room lock took a dozen tries to unlock and when I walked in the room I realized it was very cold and that the heating was not working. I was told I will be transferred to a room on the 3rd floor. Again, the lock took multiple tries to unlock and in this room (325) neither of the blind were operable. I was too tired to complain and just stayed. The following morning, after examining the blinds don’t work I was assigned another room, this time everything was operable except for the office chair which was broken. I was also told the 2 upper floors were “fully occupied” only to find there’s construction going on on those floors.
After 2 nights and being in 3 different rooms, I can safely assume the owners put the minimum necessary to keep the hotel operating and don’t really pay attention to guest’s comfort.
The staff although frustrated was super friendly and did all they could to assist.

Meh.. wouldn’t book again.
They are remodeling the hotel, our room was supposed to be remodeled but everything was messed up. The bathroom door got stuck to the frame and my 4 year old got trapped, it was hard to pull. The bathroom mirror had lipstick writing on it (not cleaned) and there was hair in the shower. The closet has no hangers or any area to hang your stuff.
The TV didn’t work, the microwave was disconnected. The beds are comfortable and they looked cleaned. The staff was friendly, but they knocked on our door at 8am to fix our tv, when we were checking out at 11. Then again a knock at 9 to check if we were gone already. It was a mess.
Drilling started at 9am, due to the remodeling. Also a nuisance but I get it, things need to be remodeled.
Above bathroom flooded our bathroom. I asked to change rooms. They claimed none were available. Did not adjust our fees due to the inconvenience. Had to keep piles of towels on carpet in entryway and bathroom.
Workers were nice and cleaned the area twice.
Management was horrible and not helpful.

Location was excellent,
However, bedside light loose, bathroom sink had NO cold water, only hot, toilet handle messed up, phone did not work, tub did not drain well, cards to room had issues (we did not have them near our phones). Gentleman at check in was not very nice or friendly. Other ladies were nice and helpful during our stay.
I stayed for two nights the TV wouldn’t turn on. I reported the issue to the front desk. When I came back to my room the TV was on, but you were unable to change the channel or adjust the volume in any way. In order to turn the TV off, I had to unplug it from the wall. Unacceptable. I was never compensated for a room I paid over $400.00 for.
Reservation was made via Expedia and the check-in time was listed as 3pm and the checkout time was listed as Noon. So I booked based on this information. Hotel personnel told me and my wife we had to checkout before 11am not noon as show on my confirmation letter. I had problems with this because I needed the Noon checkout and this is why I booked Hilton Gardens Midtown.I was highly disappointed.
I believe they are doing construction on the hotel. The lobby was dirty, but had a sign up about it. We heard a lot if drilling and banging. There were many workers all over the building. We weren't made aware the hotel was under renovation when we booked.

Mediocre
For a hilton chain i was expecting more..i guess for a small town..it did not meet my standards. I only stayed because of event that was hostedt here
The front desk was rude when I first checked in. The elevator took for ever to come down. Once we got off on are floor the hallway smelled. Also the room keys did not work right. Once we entered the room it smelled wet. Ac didn’t work right
