We stayed 10 years ago and were thrilled by this hotel. It has become worn over the years but is still a very good value, and the service was fantastic as we experienced both stays.

Disappointing
Bedding was stained, room was not cleaned with hair everywhere and a contact found on the floor; reservation was messed up. Suites are located outside in what appears to be a refurbished motel. Walls are PAPER THIN and you can hear everything. This does not meet the norm for the Kimpton brand; beyond disappointed.

Great location, not so great staff
Beautiful hotel and courtyard. Family of 5 stayed in a suite with a pull out coach. There was no pillow, comforter, sheets for the pull out and had to reach out multiple times for them at 10 pm only to learn there were no clean ones and the laundry would be finished in an hour. Never received them and people working the front desk area were unconcerned.

Super good customer service. Smelled like a spa. Was very clean and everything was quick including check in and check out. Offered as many extra towels and sheets as we needed. Great area. Only con is $49 overnight parking. Overall good experience.

When I arrived they didn't have my room said they over booked I said I booked weeks ago how can my room be taken and I also called the day off to confirm and the lady said I was all set so to arrive and them say my room was taken I was upset but they ended up giving me the room anyway also they did not have my pre payed breakfast nor my pre payed parking in my reservation

Could not take a hot shower, the water was warm. Front desk told us the building was old and to run the water for at least 20 mins. Tried that method also, did not work. If you want a cold shower then this is the place for you.

The check in clerk was incompetent and cold. A lot of the listed room amenities were non existent (no bathrobes, no mini bar, no smart TV). The room was dirty, floors blacked out feet after shower, found dead bug dried up on the floor, all surfaces covered in dust and the shower was dirty. The constant barking of the excessive amount of dogs after quiet hours was annoying. Parking advertised and offer by hotel.com shows $14 a night when we paid $49 plus tax. Overal, not impressed for the price bracket of this hotel.

Trying to be trendy and luxury but falls short
On the surface, looks lovely but a series of misses in comfort and service will prevent me from staying here again. Front desk was vacant upon arrival. Waited 5 minutes for someone to show up. No way to call for them. Did not apologize. Then chastised my child for simply touching a table ornament. Valet was unhelpful in offering alternative parking options. Literally told me to "look it up" online. Did not help unload car. Room hallways were moldy and humid, even though it was 50 degrees outside. Avoid ground floor rooms. Next to a walkway by the pool, so you must keep curtains closed for privacy and room smells of chlorine. Windows old and dirty. Bathroom small with no ventilation. Hair dryer handle worn down and sticky. Pillows had tears. No luggage rack. Closet with no hanging rod. Cleaning service late and incomplete. The cherry on top was finding a lizard and fruit flies in the room AFTER the cleaning. Some pros: vinyl floors, empty non-minibar fridge, furniture in good condition, bed comfortable. We had the Thanksgiving meal in the hotel restaurant. Host stand missed the note about toddler and seated us in a table meant for two. Charcuterie board was a joke: few measly pieces of meat, crackers came broken or crumbled, juice from pickled vegetables soaked everything. Main meal was solid. Cheesecake was flavorless. Property manager did respond to complaints with a room credit, which was appreciated, but doesn't make up for everything.
