New and modern luxury in downtown Savannah
Beautiful, light-filled, modern hotel on the river, with gorgeous view from the rooftop Bar Julian. Fantastic customer service and staff in all departments. Dog-friendly, too. Walk out the front door to the greenspace and a walk along the Savannah River. House car driver can drop you off elsewhere within downtown. Be sure to grab a bite at Bar Julian on the rooftop.

We loved the rooftop bar for drinks and food. We also loved our room...it's size and comfort. What we didn't like was the lack of parking, which was very inconvenient for us older folks, We also did not appreciate a $35 destination fee added to our bill. We have no idea of the purpose of this obvious junk fee other than to get an extra $35 from us.

Wonderful stay!
Once again, the Thompson Hotel was a great stay. This time, the highlight was our view of the river. The room was comfortable, quiet, and clean and welcoming for us and our two dogs. We also enjoyed the bakery on site and Bar Julian. We would stay there again, particularly if we end up traveling with the dogs once again. The grassy area across from the hotel is a great place for walking them. Thanks Thompson!

The best hotel!
We had an amazing stay! Tristan at the front desk was so personable and kind. I have never met someone with such wonderful hospitality. Anything we needed, he had taken care of right away. He answered all of our questions with a smile and really made us feel welcome. He greeted us by name when we would return to the hotel after being out on the town. The rooftop bar was delicious and all the servers were hyper aware of my allergies and made sure to accommodate for that. We will definitely be returning to Thompson for our next stay in Savannah!
