The property is great, staff are friendly. The free beers in the lobby at night is a noce little touch. However, this visit was strange because my booking through Expedia was as normal but this time the Hoyel charged me almost double what my reservation confirmation was. I asked for detailed summary of chargesand they could not do but in the morning they said they would email me the summary. Still have not recieved? Not even my deposit back. Very uosetting as I really like this spot but now i may not return or recommend.

The location was convenient, the bed was comfortable, and the free beer in the lobby was nice. The valet parking closes at night so you have to get the car yourself, the room was not very clean and the shower did not drain.

The location was awesome. Elevator was an issue. housekeeping monopolized the elevators during checkout. Seems like they should dedicate one elevator for guests and give housekeeping a dedicated elevator so it doesn't stop on every floor.

The Max reminds me of a old apartment. An older building repainted for a new tenant. The rooms are tiny and it looks like everything just got a new coat of paint over the old stuff. The lobby was super small and their free happy hour was a few beers in the lobby. The Wifi was horrible just use your own phone's data. BUT.. it was a fun stay. The staff was nice and the lobby did have a fire place that was comfortable to hang out in. The décor was modern and fresh. If your there in warmer weather they have bicycles you can borrow to get around with. The price you pay for downtown Seattle makes The MAX a good option for younger crowds.

The hotel has Seattle sub culture music theme. It is short walking distance from the Link Train Station. Spacious room and bathroom. Free beer happy hour. Heater a little bit noisy but the room was warm enough.

Sleepless night in Seattle
Walls are paper thin. People partying loudly until 3:30am. Called front desk for forever and no one was picking up. Finally someone answered and told them to quiet down, didn’t help much. Asked for some type of compensation, as parents of four, we rarely get a night away and we had zero sleep. We were told a manager would call us. Never heard ftom them. Poor service. Great price, only one very small elevator working. Will probably not return.
