This hotel was a real learning experience for my kids. They got to learn about second hand smoke, sex-work, drug trafficking, and dumpsters being used to blockade all of the broken exterior doors. That was just getting to our room from the "lobby." We'll see what the night holds for us. Sirens? Stabbings? Shootings? If you are already into all of these things, please note that you should still not stay here because they are all done better elsewhere. UPDATE: Then, at 10:38 PM, my kids got to learn about evacuations because all of the building's alarms went off. We got to see squatters, sex workers, thwir clients, unhoused people, stray animals, and even a couple of paying guests milling through the hallways, emptying 1st floor rooms out of the windows, and... finally... one employee made their way to the front after 10 minutes of sirens, fire trucks, and other commotion.

It took 2 hours to finally get in my room. Keys did not work. She would not answer the phone, it kept going to voice mail. The night clerks behavior was so hostile and accusing. There are so many things that went wrong I can't list them all in detail.

The good: the room was very clean and comfortable. The motel is convenient to SeaTac airport. The bad: the AC was on full blast so the room was like a meat locker. There is no USB port in the room so make sure you have a charger for your phone

The fact that we demanded our money back and went to a different hotel says it all. Garbage overflowing and smelly by the back entrance, 20 minutes and 2 trips to the front desk just to get internet access, 20 minutes of employee in the room having extremely frustrating conversation with the manager trying to get the TV to work...it didn't. We dont have high expectations for a Motel 6 but it was totally rediculous.
