We had a great stay here for a couple nights before our flight out of SeaTac. A bit outdated but very clean and a convenient walk to the SeaTac Link Transit stop to catch a train to downtown

The staff looked and acted like they did not want to be there. The rooms look nothing like the photos. Why is there a photo of the water on online pictures if this place is no where near the water? The rooms where dirty with stained walls and smelled like cigarettes. It is clear that this facility is not well maintained. We had to ask the front desk for simple things like lotion and toothpaste. Those should already be in our room upon arrival. This shows the hotel is just being cheap. Additionally, we got there early so we had to leave our luggage in a closet while we explored Seattle until check in time. This is understandable. However, the staff left the closet open and unlocked. I did not feel like my items were properly secured and safe. When we returned to get our luggage, the staff gave us a key for the closet and told us to get it ourselves, not verifying it was our luggage. This is highly unprofessional. I could have stolen any one's luggage if I wanted to and the staff would have no idea. I did not like that at all. There needs to be some form of verification. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

Never stay at Surestay!!!
We got to the airport and called the hotel for a shuttle. I explained to the shuttle driver I would be needing a ride for my 3 kids, my wife and I. The driver said he would pick us up in 10 minutes. Upon arriving, he told us that he could not take us all because the shuttle was full. I asked if one of us could sit in the front seat so that we would all fit. He told me we could do that but we would have to leave our luggage at the airport as he didnt have room for all the luggage. That obviously was a non starter for me. I told him he would be leaving my wife, 3 kids and I at the airport to fend for ourselved. He told me he would not come back and get us and to figure it out ourselves. We ubered to the hotel where the driver proceeded to tell me that I am lucky I have kids with me or he would mess me up. He was walking around the lobby swearing and yelling. When I told the general manager about this, he just told me that the driver said this didnt happen. The general manager did not resolve the conflct. If he would go to the security camera footage, he would see that the driver threatened me. We were forced to pay for an uber and also forced to find a hotel 20 minutes away that had vacancy as there was no way we would stay at surestay.Terrible experience

Staff was great. Didn't realize some rooms don't have microwave or fridge, but I take responsibility for assuming. Bed was very comfy and they put some money into the furnishings, but with cracked shower knob, lots of calcium deposits on shower head, and sloppy paint, weird old light fixtures and a general "motel from the fifties" vibe, it seems like the reno was done cheap by inexperienced or disinterested crew. Paint on the shower tile and sloppily done around the bathroom mirror. Old window unit AC. Tiny toilet. Ok maybe for men who just need a warm place to sleep for a night, but as a woman traveling alone I specifically avoided the cheapest looking option so I could get a decent quality stay. Felt like I was in a basement starting on the first floor room.
