This delightful and cozy mobile home is situated on our private, six acre farm. Don't let mobile home fool you. My husband and I have spent two years doing an extensive remodel on this fun, little property. We removed the entire inside leaving only the frame, and rebuilt it with comfort and style in mind. You will not believe the transformation.
We reside in the main farmhouse which was built in 1923, however, the farm was established in 1922 and is nestled in the shadow of Mt. Cleman.
As you sit on the deck of this cozy property, you can see a landscape of spotted pine high above in the valleys of the mountain.
The mobile home is situated on the rolling hills of our property. There is a pasture with 100 plus year old barn situated below. You will see horses, chickens, and other livestock roaming about.
Deer frequent the location and travel through regularly. They like to lay in the yard or in the draw nearby. We have a deer crossing space in the fence, so they can pass easily through into the pasture.
We also have some premiere bird watching in our location. Many varieties of native, migratory birds can be seen in the surrounding area. Check with the National Audubon Society for unique variety of birds in our area.
Less than a mile north is Wenas Lake; a popular destination for fishing, kayaking, or wildlife watching. Continue beyond the lake and you are in the heart of the Wenas Wildlife Area, where there are hiking trails and mountain bike trails and wildlife galore.
Drive another eight miles pas the cattle guard, and the road splits into three. Directly to the left the road accesses a popular area called BBQ flats. There's an annual archery shoot there, and many trails for horseback riding. Go straight and you will arrive at Cascade Park. A popular destination for ATV's. Keep right, and this is the road that leads to Ellensburg. Umptanum falls trailhead is on this road, along with other hiking and biking trails. There's also an observatory, which is an interesting location to visit.
The town of Naches is only 10 to 15 minutes south. It is the gateway to the Cascades with White Pass and Chinook Pass stretched out beyond. White Pass boasts Rimrock lake, hiking trails and White Pass ski resort. Chinook Pass is a scenic byway with Mt Rainier National Park.
Naches has a local coffee shop as well as other food establishments. D'Nile Taphouse is a popular spot as well as Braun Yr on highway 12.
One can also travel into the surrounding Yakima Valley where you will find award winning wineries and local breweries. Many have live entertainment and events year round.
Whatever your desire, there are many things to do in our area.
Note to our guests: While we absolutely adore dogs, we are unable to accept them on our property for a few reasons. First, we have put a great deal of time and effort into our mobile home remodel and want to prevent any unintended damage. Second, this is an active farm with horses, chickens, and so on. These lively creatures are a temptation to dogs, and third, there are many deer traveling through which are even more irresistible to chase than the livestock. We hope you understand.
