I think it’s overall a good property to stay. They are a bit aged but their room sizes are big. Their washing machines were of good use, they had all amenities needed for a long stay. They were also very helpful. I spoke no Mandarin but the people in the lobby could speak English mostly; and those who didn’t were also very helpful. Overall it was a good stay. One suggestion is that they need to install smoke detectors in rooms. If someone smokes in their room, the cigarette smoke can go through the air conditioning vents into other rooms. I stayed there for 10 days ish and towards the last few days there were days where I had to keep the AC turned off because it smelt of strong cigarettes in the room.

My one bedroom unit is very spacious. I was solo but I think it's ok for a family of 3 or even 4. 1 bedroom, 1 big living room and the kitchen area. The unit has all necessities you may need for a comfortable stay. The washer dryer worked well and was even provided with detergent. Bathroom was in old-fashioned style but updated modern amenities and high-end toilet. Nice and neat. The staff were kind and sweet. Great location, just 1 street away from a street with many dumpling stores (including 1 highly rated online). There's a small draft beer bar next door with some mean beers and the staff are fun, too. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately our arrival was too early for checkin but no effort made to help us out with some early alternatives despite prior requests … and when 2pm checkout arrived room was still not ready. Otherwise location was great. Appartment sparsely furnished and no little things like dishwasher liquid or pit scrubber.

The unit we booked was a 1 bedroom executive therefore the space available for the two of us is excellent. Plus having daily housekeeping is wonderful. The lady serving the 8 floor where we stayed is pleasant and helpful. The apartment is centrally located served by three metro lines which makes travelling on public transport very convenient. We will definitely book this apartment again for our next trip to Shanghai.

The location is ideal, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff. During our travels, we stayed at several hotels in Beijing, Ximen, and Shanghai, but Green Court Residence was the only one where the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. It’s not just the facilities and amenities that make a stay memorable—it’s the staff and their dedication to excellent service. The management's practices clearly foster a positive culture, and it shows. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking high standards of care in China.

A lovely suite with separate lounge, bedroom kitchen and bathroom. The clothes washing machine/dryer made our lives a lot easier than we normally experience while travelling.
