The place is amazing and the owners are accomodating. Close to the beach. Few steps away from the train station. Bus stops at the front of B&B.
Room is very clean, well decorated and maintained. The breakfast is superb, with varieties of cooked breakfast, cereals and drinks..but we particularly enjoyed the full english breakfast.
We highly recommend and will definitely book again on out next stay in Isle of Wight!
We had a lovely stay here, very clean everywhere, lovely comfy bed, really nice big fluffy bath towels, nice Breakfasts, very friendly hosts. Tea, coffee, & hot chocolate in room, also some biscuits chocs and mints. Very local to shops buses and train station. Would definitely recommend the Ryedale it was great.
A warm welcome. Clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Very convenient for the railway station with seamless connections to the mainland. Not expensive. Guest houses don't come any better than this.
I had a great short stay - couple of nights - and would highly recommend the Ryedale. John and Hayley were really helpful and constructive and the guest house is clean, quiet and well organised and the breakfasts are tasty and filling.
Picked this place based on its super close proximity to the train station and the cleanliness rating. Many thoughtful touches, amenities, and super clean with nice breakfast and hosts.
Shnaklin is a small town so everything is easily reached by foot - beach is about km away form the B&B. Bus stop right outside too.
Note: contact them directly instead of hotels.com messaging, which seems to be not working.
I really enjoyed my stay. Fantastic food and hospitality from Hayley & John, they really go out of their way for you. The hotel is close to Shanklin Rail (2mins walk) & Bus Station (5mins walk) and the hotel was very clean and tidy. Shanklin Esplanade is a 10mins walk.
Thanks again to you H & J !!!
Lovely room though we were situated at the front of the property so it was noisy with road traffic. Hosts were very friendly. Off site parking was easy to get to (a few minutes walk away). Good location.
My sister and I were impressed with the room very cheerful decoration spotlessly clean charming hosts and the food was exceptional The use of the dining room for take away was an added bonus and we took advantage of that Our hosts made us very welcome We shall be going back Shanklin is conveniently placed to see the whole island The beach is safe and there are some good places to eat
Fantastic place to stay. Very clean areas both room and breakfast room. Friendly and helpful owners, hayley and john. Breakfast was fab. You name it they had it. Great choice and plenty of it. Comfortable room with hot drinks available with nice touches of choc eggs and mints.
Perfect location. Minutes to seafront, town centre shops and cafes , just over the road from station and bus stops directly outside.
Must go back.
We had a fantastic stay at The Ryedale in Shanklin it is very handy for the bus and rail station and the weather was brilliant the whole week.John and Hayley were the perfect hosts and the breakfast was amazing
Nice B&B convenient for the Station and Buses (1 min), Town Centre (5-10 mins) and Seafront (10-15mins). Good Wifi and good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Shanklin is one of the better places to stay on the Island with a good choice of restaurants and shops. It has a good train service to Sandown and Ryde (for the Portmouth FastCat and Hovercraft). It also has a good ranges of frequent buses to Ryde, Sandown, Newport and Ventnor and also a less frequent service to Blackgang, Alum Bay, The Needles and Yarmouth - making it ideal for visitors without their own car.
On arrival I was worried about car parking, but John our host supplied us with a free parking pass that we could use at the local train station only two minutes away. The service and the many little extras were excellent. The breakfast was probably the best that I have ever had in a B&B for both choice and quality. My only moan was that our room (7) faced the road and we were disturbed by passing traffic noise in the early morning.
Brilliant stay, a truly great B&B. Very friendly, good location. All one needs is provided and a few extra nice touches.
I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on the IOW.
Many thanks!
We went to the Isle of Wight for a week, and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms were cosy and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The owners Hayley and John really took care of us and made us feel welcome.
