Nothing compares to reconnecting with nature at the seaside. At some point during your trip, make your way to Nishikinohama Beach Park, 90 kilometres to the northwest.
Break out on a trip to some nearby natural beauty spots. 9 kilometres out of Shingu, Nachi Waterfall is waiting to be explored. Engetsu Island, 50 kilometres away, is another brilliant place to kick your feet up.

Or perhaps Myohosan Mountain and the Seigantoji Temple appeal more to you? To see them, go to Higashimuro-gun, 16 kilometres southwest.
Taiji is located 19 kilometres away from Shingu and is an exciting part of the local area. Nearby attractions include the Daitaiji Temple, Kawayu Onsen and Yunomine Onsen. Still got time to kill? Kumotori Onsen and Hayatama Taisha are also within easy reach.
Eating is one of life's greatest pleasures, and since you're reading this, you probably think travel is too. Combine your enthusiasm for both by heading out and sampling the local cuisine at some of the cafés, bars and restaurants in town.
