When traveling in Cambodia, you have to remember it is a developing country at the lower end of the list. Therefore, hotel standards are much lower then in other countries. With that said, the Beach Club Resort is an OK place to stay if you do not have high expectations. Pluses: good location about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the beach (all the hotels in this area are at least 1 - 2 streets away from the beach), European family owned and operated, friendly English speaking staff, clean room, comfortable bed, nice swimming pool with clear water and lots of lounge beds and chairs with umbrellas, adequate breakfast; cereal, toast, eggs cooked to order, French toast, fruit, bacon, ham and coffee - juice was an extra charge. WiFi was OK. Minuses: the rooms are a little tired and could use a fresh coat of paint, many of the fixtures and appliances were in need of maintenance or replacement. All the rooms face the swimming pool with a common public walk-way in front, so there is no privacy in your room unless you keep you curtains closed. All in all and OK stay, probably on par with most of the other hotels in its class for the same area.
