The room was fine. It was clean and well sized. We opted for the 'city view', on the 12th floor this meant you looked directly into a building site (the builders waved to us each morning when they started banging away at 7am), if you are on a lower floor the city view will be a wall. The hotel obviously cant control what construction work is going on around, but if I have stayed anyway before where construction work may impact you, there has been some kind of forewarning or acknowledgment that this may inconvenience you during your stay. There is a distinct aroma of sewage when you enter the lobby, which is 'cleverly' diaguised with copious amounts of highly fragrant air freshener. The location does overlook a harbour, but there is a very busy main road running along the whole strip. The location serves its purpose as a base to go and visit other places, but for the price, this hotel is just not worth it. Stay in Valletta.

This was our first visit to Malta and the Londoner Hotel perfectly matched our needs. The location is very convenient for getting to Valletta on the ferry and for the various cruises and tours available around the islands. The hotel itself is modern and clean. We had a harbour view room which had a lovely view across to Valletta from the balcony (exactly as per the pictures on the hotel website - though it probably helped we had a room on the 12th floor). The area around the hotel has plenty of bars and Restaraunts. Some can be a bit noisy but there are always alternatives. Otherwise it’s easy to pop across to Valletta for the evening where there are plenty of options. The Londoner itself has a bar and restaraunt which served decent food and drinks, as well as breakfast in the morning. All in all, the hotel was a great find and one we would use again if in Malta.

Either get a town facing room above 11yhj floor for an actual view or a harbour facing room. It’s very busy along the broad walk, so the higher up you are the better. Rooms are spacious and I would return

We had a wonderful stay at The Londoner, it is in such a great location to travel to other places in Malta. The room was lovely, modern, clean and the seaview room had an exceptional view of Valletta both day and night. The staff were wonderful especially Ahmed & Marsia (not forgetting the hands on hotel manager who personally fixed our safe). They were always happy to greet us and help with anything needed. They are all a real credit to the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at The Londoner, it is such a great location to explore Malta. The room was lovely, modern, clean and the sea view room had exceptional views of Valletta which was beautiful both day and night. The staff were wonderful, especially Ahmed & Marsia on reception (and the hands on hotel manager which personally fixed our safe), they always greated us with a smile and helped us many times booking taxis etc. They are all a real credit to the hotel, We hope to stay here again soon, Simon & Tammy.

Quite the letdown

Definitely expected more out of this stay. We were told on arrival that the pool wasn’t available which was a big part of why we booked. Apparently the deal with a nearby pool club had stopped. They gave an alternative of one a 30-minute walk away which is far from ideal. The hotel offered nothing to compensate for this and no support to change our booking considering the difference from what was advertised. They ignored my direct requests and hotels.com requests to cancel the second half of a 4-night booking. We would have happily booked elsewhere, especially since the room was not very comfortable. The bed was very hard with either a massive pillow or a thin lumpy pillow. The bathroom sink is comically big and takes up the entire counter space and it’s one of those showers with no door so water splashes all over the floor. Breakfast is just fine and didn’t add anything to our trip. No chance I’d book there again and suggest you could find a better option.

Excellent customer service with easy check in and check out options. Bedroom good size though a bit basic with amenities for example lacking in toiletries and hanging space in the bathroom. The fridge and complimentary water was much appreciated. Close proximity to transport links for buses and ferries. Great restaurant choice locations in walking distance. Breakfast had plenty of choice with a take out breakfast provided when we left the hotel very early on departure. Thanks for a great stay!

Stay away from the hotel! Extremely overpriced for the condition, you can find 5 stars hotels cheaper price. Looks much worse than photos and dirty as well. Ceiling is just pure concrete and overall looks like very cheap motel. Area around is very dirty with trash on the street and smell.
