Break free on a trip to some nearby natural attractions. 45 kilometres out of Solling, Karlsaue Park is just waiting to be explored. Tanzwerder Island, 35 kilometres away, is another pleasant place to hang out in the outdoors.

Take a journey back through time as you wander around Solling Tower. This historical site has plenty of tales to tell.

Sports buffs won't be left out in the cold during their stay. Auestadion is 45 kilometres away in Sued and the perfect place to get your sporting fix. Remember to check the event calendar to see what's on.

Leave a trail of white powder behind you as you hurtle down the trails at Wurmbergschanze. Powder hounds will also want to visit Bodefeld Hunau Ski Resort.

If you'd like to do a little exploring, add a jaunt to Uslar to your itinerary. This destination is 9 kilometres to the southeast and features Uslar Waterpark and Alaris Butterfly Park.
