Totally Secluded 40-Acre Beachfront Estate, Private Beach

The calmest of beaches in Eleuthera are on the Caribbean side of the island. With a southwest exposure, you will experience some of the most incredible sunsets in the world. This unique location offers you over 1,500 feet of beach front to enjoy. It is nestled between two small rocky point peninsulas, creating a very calm and private atmosphere, alluring you to make this your lifetime vacation home, as it has for many others.

This completely furnished home was completely renovated in 2010/2011 and no expense has been spared.

Amenities include AC in all rooms, wifi, satellite TV, DVD player, CD player, video library, music library, washer/dryer, back-up generator, and three sea kayaks (two single and one tandem).

Pau Pau Bay was named many years ago, upon the discovery of the land's abundance in vegetation. Among the many fruits, there are pau pau (papayas), coconuts, and pineapples. Directly in front of the beach are the Pineapple Cays, four islands that offer a great anchorage and protection on windy days. Pau Pau Bay is home for an astonishingly diverse collection of sea creatures living in just 3 to 9 feet of water...

The town of Governors Harbour, less than 10 minutes away, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.

Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The island, home to just 8000 residents, is completely safe any time of the day or night. Enjoy the rare experience of picking up hitch-hikers and leaving your keys in the car wherever you go. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, sea kayaks, bikes. You can have a charter captain take you out for excursions of various types. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, many unique beaches, historic churches and 19th century homes, and small villages to explore. We hope you will enjoy Pau Pau Beach Estate, and experience all our island has to offer.

Paradise found
Family vacation to celebrate a family member’s 50th bday. The accommodations were a perfect fit for everyone. Our own private bay right off the porch, excellent fishing and even amazing shells along the beach stretch. We’ll be back. Thank you Kim (manager) and Daniel (caretaker).for all your help !

PauPau estate on the beach
Everything thing was Awesome. We were a group of 8 all family. It was relaxing and able to go snorkeling right from the house was great. Seeing the different fish and finding a queen conch was fun. My husband saw a ray on the last evening we were there. Daniel was super nice and fun to visit with. The 2 big spider crabs were awesome. I can't say enough of how much my family and I had doing our own thing and seeing the island. Eluthera Island is very nice. And a shocker if your not ready for the price of things. Tippy's and the Buccaneers restaurants are both good in Governor's Harbour. And Daddy Joe's in the north end is really good too. Ship to shore was good and very friendly like the other. The 1 set back was that the owner of the ship to shore said we couldn't go to lighthouse Beach because Disney bought it and closed it. Twin Cove Beach is alot of fun too. I would love to go back. The house was amazing and well worth the money.

Heaven
Great location if you wAnt privacy and relaxing on a beach. House is well stocked with everything you need. The kayaks were used everyday, the beach was cleaned. Kingsley was awesome and made sure we had wood for our fire. We did not have internet but we didn’t try to get that fixed either so I’m sure if we would have called it would have been.

Nice secluded getaway!
Nice vacation in Eleuthra, first time there. The island and home is very remote, not a lot of tourists like some of the other islands. The house suited our needs well, enough space for our extended family. The view from the home is very pretty, on it's own private beach- just one other house down the beach around the corner. Good snorkeling and kayaking available right out your door. We had a cook come in everyday for breakfast and dinner which was a highlight for us. We loved Brenda Demeritte and highly recomnmend her if interested in a cook. The only downside was there were lots of bugs at night so it was hard to sit outside after dinner without getting eaten alive. Property management company was very attentive and quick to reply to all questions leading up to the vacation. Overall good experience!

Beautiful home, awesome view
Truly enjoyed our 8 nights at PawPaw. Communication before booking prompt and excellent. The house exceeded expectations since it was beautifully furnished and far more than just a beach house. Loved the shelling, snorkeling, sitting in chairs by the water on our "private" beach, and the kayaks (life vests at least for kids and seat backs on all for the grownups would have helped !). Kingsley (caretaker) was informative, helpful and a delight. Minor drawbacks: very long, bumpy dirt road to get there made it a bit inconvenient; was assured ahead of time that water access was sandy for young kids, but in actuality at most tide levels entry only was rocky; could have used cooler and maybe even beach chairs for excursions to other beaches, but towels were plentiful for that; missing batteries for remotes (but we didn't bother to ask to have them replaced because it wasn't important to us). Should note this isn't the powdery sand beach many others are, but was great for shelling and walking.

Amazing views and very peaceful
We had a great time at this rental. The property was beautiful, the beach was AMAZING!!! The house had everything we needed and was very clean and well kept up. Everything about the house and property as whole was just perfect. If you want to relax and truly get away from busy life, this is your place. Seamless interactions with the property managers and home owners. The caretaker is a great treasure to the property! He even brought us fresh grown tomatoes!

Wonderful in April!
Pau Pau Bay was the perfect escape my husband and I needed from our busy lives. And the warmth was welcomed from Maine! The house was perfect with some of the best snorkeling just a shot paddle or swim away to the cay. We're had everything we needed at the house and Kingsly was a wealth of information. He also had a worker that made sure we already had plenty of firewood for bonfires. Mate and Jenny's had some delicious pizza. We also really enjoyed 1648 for lunch. Tippy's also had great food. The Friday fish fry is definitely an experience. Lighthouse beach is as amazing as everyone says it is and is worth the drive. We also spent a lot of time driving the island and finding less known beaches, a four wheel drive is highly recommended! Overall this was an amazing house on a great island. We will hopefully be back soon!
