We had room 315. Room was located at end of hallway, next to stairs. Room was not most convenient to get around in because of the odd, L shape configuration caused by location next to steps. Overall, hotel very good though, good breakfast and bar. Kirkenes water supply was under a boil order, so no ice. Hotel offered "boiled" water throughout.

Well, this was quite a surprise. We were not expecting such a wonderful place in such a rugged destination. The water views from our room were spectacular. The place looks and feels newer compared to the Thon we stayed at in Oslo. Very nice indeed. The dining room has floor to ceiling windows facing the bay. I would stay again anytime.

Great location, the breakfast is one of the best we had on our entire trip and was included in the price of the room, which was very reasonable. They charge for parking, which is surprising in a town of this size and given it is an outside parking lot not all of which is paved; however, they will quickly advise you that you can park for free across the street, which we did.

Great little hotel
Great place to stay in a town with not too many exciting choices. Utilitarian. Clean and well presented. Close to ferry terminal. Short taxi ride ~2 minutes. Lovely, efficient staff.

Good choice to start a Hurtigruten cruise.
This was a one night transit stay in Kirkenes Norway, otherwise known as almost the end of the world. It’s a fine comfortable, easy hotel, and the meal I had was very good. In most parts of the world I give it a three stars, but I gave it an extra star just because they provided a lot in a very remote location.

Dinner restaurant food and service were excellent. Lamb shank and arctic char were superb, as was the blueberry dessert. Very good wine list. Restaurant manager was very attentive and personable. Breakfast buffet was very good. No facial tissue in rooms. Hotel exceeded expectations.

Excellent restaurant
The hotel is newer and very nice. The restaurant and food selection is excellent. The staff are friendly. There are 3 small things I noticed. The bed and pillows seem a little tired, although I slept well. The blackout curtains do not block out light on the sides of the window wall. In the shower there is no place for ones own toiletries. They have combined hair-body gel (ugh) which is ok, but if you have your own, or a shaver, there is no shelf or nook to hold anything. Regardless, I recommend this hotel.

Great Overnight Stay
We had an overnight stay after disembarking from a Havila ship from Bergen. Room is smallish but adequate. Breakfast included in the room rate was excellent. Hotel located at the waterfront.

This properties position, right on the harbour was wonderful and the views it offered were spectacular. Even managed to capture the Northern Lights from the hotel.

I love the staff services from the hotel most! Very friendly and helpful! The food for the breakfast and dinner were very good too! Love Kirkenes! Hope one day we will come back and visit again!
