We originally were only going to stay two nights but we were having a lovely time and wanted to stay another night. We were told that we couldn’t stay in the same room but we could book a king since there was one available. After booking the next night using Expedia I asked if we could get into that room early, the front desk gentleman was super accommodating and let us in, checked out of our old room and into our new one despite it being late. The next day I got a call from the hotel at about 1pm in the afternoon saying check in wasn’t complete so we sped back to the hotel and we were greeted with the most rude staff that was rolling her eyes making us feel so unwelcome.She was very quick to blame other employees and us for Not answering the room phone, we had to stop and explain her attitude is with the wrong people because we definitely aren’t trying to inconvenience anyone then the attitude slowly subsided but we are not as impressed with this stay as previous stays. Will definitely consider other hotels next time. Also we feel we over charged for waters from the front desk and or charged for late checkout without our knowledge as we only got back $30 from our safety deposit and another $25 from the other reservation

Hotel and room were clean. I’d recommend it for the price point. There are trains that run through downtown so if you’re a light sleeper you might need the supplied ear plugs.

overall was great! super close to everything in downtown. the train was not an issue at all? i was concerned due to reviews but I very rarely heard it and never was woken by it. i was on the ground level not sure if that helped? The area was fine. Yes homeless stay under the bridge but not once did I see any in the carpark or creating issues. Would for sure stay again. Had no concerns or issues :)

The hotel worked great for us because we were traveling through. The only disappointing thing was that the breakfast restaurant associated with the hotel closed unexpectedly so we didn't get our free breakfast.

I was very happy with my stay at the Steam Plant. It is not a quiet local as it is in the downtown of Spokane which is very busy both day and night. The facility provided ear plugs though and I slept like a baby. For the price point, I would stay there again.

5 stars for LOUD - MEGAPHONE LOUD TRAINS/NOISE/MISLEADING WEBSITE IS MISLEADING- Stay here if you want to get no value for whatever currency your dollar is. - sound like they are coming through your hotel room ALL NIGHT!! 50 percent on cleanliness, odd stains on carpet, bathroom vent had layer of dust (see pic 😭). I stopped looking because I didn’t want to know what I would find. They give earplugs but still subpar. Room had an odd odor, heater was on full blast when we went in, turned it down - stopped heating - temp sensor probably not working. Complimentary breakfast for Rosie’s Restaurant just to be told that next morning they were “closed for maintenance”Towels had holes and stains.Staff was ok, I am giving 1- star across the board so this gets noticed and others can be warned. Location is not ok, not in 2024 with vulnerable population very nearby. Parking lot is risky. DO NOT stay here. Didn’t bring this to hotel’s attention because … let’s face it - they know anyway and I wasn’t going to stay here again. FIVE STAR LESSON for me so you don’t have to! FIVE stars too for the lower parking glass stone murals (see some pics, leaving rest for you to not discover) Room Door didn’t properly lock. musty, heater didn’t work, bedding wrinkled, pillows were flat, subpar clean Unsafe - hotel room door didn’t properly lock, vulnerable population nearby, construction
