Unfortunately disappointing!
We just stayed here last week while on a 2 week tour of Scotland. We were playing golf at St Andrews so this location could not be beat. However, that’s where the good ends. The service here was terrible!!! Never have I stayed in a hotel where my presence was not only ignored but they really couldn’t care less that I was standing there. The hotel management really needs to address this with staff. It was not just the front desk staff but the restaurant wait staff as well. Other things to note about this hotel before staying here that we wish we would have known. Parking is a nightmare! It is street parking in front of the hotel and a public parking garage around the corner. There are stairs to enter the hotel so you have to drag all your luggage up to check in and there is no bell staff so you will have to haul it all to your room as well. Please note there is also not even a “parking area” for check in, so you may have a few blocks to walk from your parking spot, just to check in. The room was gorgeous and very modern/updated. All in all I felt like the staff knows the location is so great for golfers that they don’t really need to include service as an amenity.
