This comfortable townhouse is ideal for families and couples looking to enjoy the beauty of south Cornwall. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, enjoy sunny breakfasts out in the garden or relaxing sundowners after long days on the beach. Wander 10 minutes to the historic Charlestown Harbour, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Find classic tall ships, peaceful beaches and fabulous places to eat and drink with breathtaking views. Private parking for 1 vehicle.

The Space:
This cosy and comfortable home is ideal for families and couples of up to 4 guests looking to explore the stunning south Cornish coast. Cook up delicious homely meals in the kitchen. Then, settle into the sofas in the living room for a movie night - where you’ll find plenty of apps on the Smart TV. On warm days, head out into the garden for alfresco meals cooked on the charcoal BBQ or your morning cup of tea in the sun - it’s a peaceful spot to soak up the sun.

Upstairs, find two well-sized bedrooms and a shared family bathroom with a bath and shower unit. The master bedroom boasts a double bed, whilst next door is an additional bedroom with two twin beds. With the beautiful Charlestown harbour just a ten-minute walk away, you’re in a great spot for a memorable coastal getaway!

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole house.

The Neighborhood:
The house is located in Charlestown, a UNESCO heritage site where you’ll find the historic Grade II listed harbour. Brimming with charm and delight, the harbour is used in a number of well-known TV shows such as Poldark. Today, it remains an amazingly pristine, unspoiled example of a late Georgian working port - dating back to the 1700s. When you step out of the front door, you will be immediately met with the beauty of tall ships floating with the breeze in the port, as well as quaint cobbled pathways. Tall ships are quite a rarity here in the UK, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to be able to see some docked up. The Grade II protected Historic Port of Charlestown is a museum where you can pay a small fee to explore the old granite harbour. There is also a lovely stretch of shingled shoreline underneath the harbourfront that is otherwise known as Charlestown Beach. Whilst it may not be the best spot to sunbathe, that shouldn't stop you from heading out and discovering fascinating Smuggler's Coves!

There are a number of great pubs and eateries dotted around the harbour, all of which are a stone's throw away. Enjoy delicious home-cooked meals washed down with pints of local ale at the traditional Pier House Hotel and tuck into freshly caught fish at The Boathouse, The Longstore or Charlestown Fish Co (brilliant takeaway!). Fabulous Cream Teas are served in a number of the nearby cafes too, such as The Gallery and Charlie’s Coffee House - you certainly won’t struggle to eat well on your holiday!

There are plenty of beautiful beaches in the area, with the Roseland Peninsula right on the doorstep. This is one of Cornwall’s final frontiers, remaining relatively untouched and peaceful even during the summer period. Head along the east coast and you will find Carlyon Beach, whilst to the west is Porthpean - both are around a 5-minute drive and offer good swimming and bathing opportunities. In summer, Carlyon Beach is transformed with beach bars and beach theatre! You can also pick up the South West Coastal Path from the door and walk to either in around 30 minutes. Further south, there are stunning beaches to be discovered: from Pentewan to Gorran Haven, Vault Beach and Hemmick.

One of the real highlights of this part of Cornwall is, of course, the Eden Project. The world-famous and award-winning biomes are a hub of nature and wildlife. Explore the world’s largest indoor rainforest and immerse yourself in the calming feel of the Mediterranean Biome. Enjoy extensive Outdoor Gardens, contemporary artworks, performances and storytelling. Please see our guide for more in-depth information about the area.

Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of Cornwall, we would recommend bringing a car for your stay. There is private parking for one vehicle as well as free on street parking outside the property for additional vehicles. In summer, it's easy to walk into Charlestown Harbour and avoid any parking queues! If you do want to arrive by train, we would recommend arriving at St Austell train station which is just a 6 minute taxi ride.
Make yourself comfortable in this vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. Conveniences include a desk and a microwave.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

Very good value for money
Well priced for the area during Easter holidays. Bedrooms really good sizes. All the facilities we needed as a family. Weather poor so we didn’t use garden and bbq. 10 min walk to the harbour. Comms were really good.

A visit to see family
The house was in a perfect position for us to spend time with our family and to visit the local area The house was a good size for the 3 of us The only negative comment would be that there wasn’t any comfortable seating downstairs in the property, this probably would not be as important if visiting in the summer but was quite disappointing for a winter break- especially for my elderly mum

Charlestown stay
The property is very convenient for the harbour, restaurants and pubs of Charlestown. A six or seven minute downhill stroll to the centre. It has a dedicated parking space which is a necessity for the area. The property is a mid-terrace, modern house. No noise from neighbours. The immediate area is fine. It is a suburban setting. A block of flats on the other side of the car park was the source of the only disturbance during the daytime - loud music which didn’t trouble us because we were out all day everyday. The interior is ok. Ground floor carpet is grubby. Could it be the pets that are permitted here? The sofa is very uncomfortable and rather rickety. Four adults would not be able to relax easily in the lounge. Kitchen is adequately equipped for self-catering. Both bathrooms are good. The double bed was very comfortable and together with a quiet nighttime neighbourhood allowed for a good night’s sleep.

Property was very clean and comfortable. Also it was in a good location to visit Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. Close to the coast too and an easy walk to Carlyon Bay.
