Stunning absolute sea beachfront Beach House St Ives Bay John Miller studio Wifi

The Beach House is a perfect haven for those looking to escape the hectic pace of everyday life. A place where you can wake up and look straight onto St. Ives Bay and Godrevy lighthouse. Watch the ebb and flow of the tide, whilst having your morning tea or coffee. Step out of the door and walk on the dunes or beach comb in St. Ives Bay. There is a private garden and patio where you can eat outside whilst watching the sunset over the bay. Alternatively, there is a daybed sofa in the living area with smart TV . Unlimited high speed wifi. Lelant, the birthplace of Rosamunde Pilcher, is conveniently located near to St. Ives, but remains a peaceful and relaxed village even in the height of summer. The Eden Project is within easy distance to visit for the day, as are many of Cornwall's tourist destinations. A great location, especially of interest to golfers, walkers, painters, ornithologists, kayakers, windsurfers and anglers.

It is also so special at nighttime when you can experience a moonlight walk with the only noise to disturb you being the harmonious ebb and flow of the tide.

Off season there is the potential to use a hot tub and indoor heated pool at a neighbouring property of the owner. Please check availability.

New fully equipped kitchen including cooker, hob, extractor, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher, toaster and kettle. Well stocked with cookware and tableware. Solid oak work surfaces, ceramic sink positioned under a window with views over St Ives Bay. Open plan living area with double daybed sofa and two person Knowles settee. Smart TV. Unlimited high speed infinity wifi connection.

Guests are able to park for free at the Church or or we can assist in organising parking on the nearby quay parking 200-250m along the beach from the house. There is no vehicle parking at the property as it is located on the beach and so guests should be able to walk 200m to get in and out of the property. Any questions concerning mobility and access please get in contact.

Dining area with table and four chairs positioned by two windows with sea views
Fresh towels, bathrobes and bedlinen are provided. The property is thoroughly cleaned after each guest vacates. For stays of more than one week, all sheets and towels will be changed and the accommodation will be vacuumed.

High chairs and travel cot are available on request. The Beach House is suitable for children.

The Beach House is a truly stunning location for painters to experience the special 'light' of St.Ives Bay. The location inspired John Miller to paint world famous seascape and images of the views.

May to Aug is a good time for Anglers to fish for bass from the Beach. Kayakers and gig rowers are seen daily on the estuary. Hayle Towans on the opposite side of the estuary is a popular surfing, kite-surfing and wind surfing beach. The Hayle estuary is the most southerly estuary in the UK and the last stopping spot on mainland UK for migrating birds. It is therefore a RSPB reserve. Walkers can step out the door and walk the Hayle to St Ives section of the South West Coastal Route.

The famous local author Rosamunde Pilcher has recently described the walk to the house as her favourite walk:
"My favourite walk is at Lelant, down the road past the church onto the golf course. You see the bay and the colours, and it's never the same - it's just perfect."

Access to swimming pool at neighbouring property is dependent upon whether Ferry House is booked. This is the same for the Hot tub at Beach Bungalow. There is a charge for use of the neighbouring hot tub.

Established in 2008
The Beach Bungalow is one of our three Beach Pads. Located on Porthkidney beach the three beach front holiday homes have been running and accepting guests since 2008.

We truly understand how hard everyone works these days and that there is so much pressure and stress in every day life. Holiday and down time is very precious. We therefore feel it is our duty when we are chosen as a holiday destination to show our appreciation and do what we can to make sure you “feel the love.”

We know we have the keys to a magical destination. We want to share that with our guests so that they too can tap into the peace and calm that our guests repeatedly enjoy having stayed at Beach Pads. The remarkable experience of staying at Beach Pads provides many of our guests with precious memories, that feel better, are worth more and last longer than many life’s more fleeting likes.

All of the Beach Pads Team including the Housekeepers, the Gardeners, Maintenance Team as well as our award winning village cake maker @TheLittle HomeBakery have all been part of the at Beachpads Team for over 5 years. Some since the beginning when the family first opened the doors to The Beach House back in 2008. We can sincerely say that all members of the team aim for our guests to have a wonderful and special experience. We all work hard to ensure that our guests make wonderful memories during their time being at the Beach Pads.

We are a member of The Professional Association of Self Caterers and are approved as “Visitor Ready” by the AA and Visit England and are in the South West Coastal Route Accommodation guide due to our proximity of being located on the Coastal Footpath. A great spot to walk the first UK Section of the Camino!

Amazing stay at a stunning location
The location of the Beach House is incredible. There's something special about the walk through the dunes to this magical beachfront hideaway. Each step takes you closer to holiday-mode. The house is tucked away through a wrought iron gate and as you walk along the beautiful garden path, the sense of being 'away from it all' is tangible. The house itself is simple enough to make for the kind of holiday living that we appreciate as a family, whilst having everything we needed. And the view...we've stayed in some nice places over the years, but the view from this place is unsurpassed in our experience. To lie in bed and watch the sea and listen to the waves was incredible. Our final day at the property was incredibly windy, but this just made for an even more interesting view, as kite-surfers took to the waves and entertained us with their antics. That epitomised the location really - despite being remote and peaceful, we never felt isolated. People walked their dogs on the beach, paddle boarders drifted by, fishing boats chugged out to sea at dawn, and surfers and pilot gigs meant there was always something to watch. Communication with Nicola was exemplary. We broke down en route, arriving 24 hours late, and she gifted us an extra night! And then there was the birthday cake and card for my wife, the Father's Day message for me and the encouraging words for our daughter's gig at a nearby hotel. So thoughtful and kind. What could have made it better...? Another week or two!

Slice of Paradise
We had a wonderful stay! A slice of Paradise. Such an idyllic setting with inspiring views from this lovely beach house where we enjoyed a glass of wine on our terrace, watching the kite surfers and little fishing boats go by. The garden was so enchanting, it was a joy admire all the pretty flowers on our way as we meandered down to the beach below. It's rare to find a place which resonates a certain nostalgia, those perfect days spent by the sea. We can see why the artist John Millar was inspired here at his art studio in times gone by. Thank you so much for this and all the homely touches and gorgeous Cornish wine, scones, amazing locally produced chocolate cake and all the other lovely things just added a special touch. We hope to return some day.

This is a true getaway
The location could not be prettier. The walk to the home from the church parking lot has many steps of differing heights so when bringing your luggage and groceries in I suggest using the paid lot ‘Lelant Beach Parking Lot’ which you can pay for using the justpark app. We did that for leaving and it was much easier than the free path to use. Also, many on the path were joggers/runners wearing no mask and not stepping aside as they aspirated heavily with no regard for anyone else. The pedestrians and their dogs were overall very considerate and we all gave way to one another to remain distanced. If you reserve the car park you do not have to pass the rude joggers. You have a private entry and garden with your own steps to the beach. We hoped for the hot tub as our listing included but we were not able to use it as it is shared with another property and Covid-19 safety prevented it unbeknownst to us from the listing when we booked. We thought we had a private tub for our stay; we were wrong. We appreciated the extra special efforts our host went to to make our stay special and they certainly made up for the lack of hot tub. We had everything we needed to have nice meals and do our zoom calls and classes whilst enjoying the sea air. Our dog had a wonderful time there and on the beach as well. I brought two large blankets to cover the downstairs sofas and we were all cozy together, but no dog hair was left behind when we left. You remove your own rubbish and recycle but there is an easy access facility within a 15 minute drive. Just plan for that. Overall 5 out of 5 stars for a beautiful location and a peaceful retreat away from the city.

Staying at the Beach house In Lelant
We had the most incredible stay at this idyllic beach side property. A true gem of a property and located a stones throw from the beach with views over to Gwithian sands and our own beach and estuary. The lovely walk down from St Uny’s church to the property is breathtaking and bring sensible shoes. We are coming back very soon. The owners were very efficient and made sure our stay was very comfortable and checking to see if we were ok and happy. We are airline employees with over 25 years of traveling abroad. There’s no need when you have this place to come to. I came with my mum and my 2 young sons and enjoyed every minute of being here. Thank you to Nicola Brooke’s and Vicky who were extremely efficient.

Located in paradise
We had a marvellous stay at The Beach House . The property couldn't be closer to the sea and glorious beach . The view from the windows were mesmersing , boats passing by were a wonderful sight first thing in the morning and we even saw a seal swim pass by.To get to this delightful house you do have to walk either from the nearby quay or over the golf course so its not convenient especially with luggage or shopping but in our view it was a privilege to spend some time in this lovely location . Our dog loved it and thought he'd gone to heaven . Thank you.

Wow what a view and outstanding hosts
We stayed here for my sister and friends 60th. We arrived to find complimentary wine, milk, chocolates, biscuits, flowers and tea. We had everything that we needed for our stay. Room was very clean, stunning views and homely atmosphere. I’d love to come back. But next time i would drive to the end of the road on the key, and offload my luggage directly across the beach to the property. Thoroughly recommended thank you x

Amazing location!
We had such a lovely break here in November- we were lucky with the warm weather but the heating certainly seemed like it would be fine had it been cooler. The view was perfect, just a shame it got dark so early so we could’ve enjoy it into the evening! It was the most stress-free holiday with our dogs as they could just go straight down onto the beach and parking the parking situation is actually quite convenient for St Ives. You may need to check the tides though if they are particularly high but we were fine. Thank you very much, we would love to come back if you’ll have us!

Our Homeymoon to Cornwall
We travelled to The Beach House on the 1st October for a week for our honeymoon. We wanted somewhere we could relax and have nice walks with our dog. The Beach House was perfect for everything we wanted! The house is lovely with amazing views from all the rooms. We'd get up each morning and walk out of the garden straight onto the beach to walk our dog. The house has everything you need and is in a really good location to explore the surrounding areas. We did the costal walk to Saint Ives from the house too which was beautiful. Access to the house was either down the beach path from the church or from the Quay across the beach when the tide was out, this was a nice walk, but for me, next time I will pack lighter! 😊 I would highly recommend the Beach House and hope to return again soon.

Not bad but needs improvement. Overpriced, needs a new hob so it doesn't take around two hours to boil an egg. Dogs liked it. Would currently give it somewhere between two and three stars but with effort it could be much better.
