We had a phenomenal time and who couldn't with excellent weather in the islands. Really only rained late at night the first two days (probably to fill up the water tank for us). Sunny and 82-86 ~ perfect for our beach trips. The cottage was quaint and perfect for us. We really do not cook on vacation, so the local establishments were perfect for us. The cottage was everything we needed and more ~ we didn't use the hot tub because we were in the hot sun and water all day. The location is great ~ high up on the mountain with unbelievable views and an exceptional island breeze all the time. We did not use the air conditioner at all. The ceiling fans were nice to spread the breeze around. The accommodations were perfect. Nice deck to sit on and enjoy our takeout dinners, evening beverages, morning coffee, and watching the "ants" (car lights) climb the mountains at night, driving home. The location is great for a quiet get away, close enough to the beaches and to town. The local eateries do close early so you will have to plan accordingly ~ but there are several establishments to pick from, and we had great meals from all, especially Rhumblines. Skinny Legs has great burgers, and Johnny's LimeOut has good BBQ. Aqua Bistro offers a nice sit-down atmosphere and meals. Didn't get out to Miss Lucy's when opened - missed out. Overall the whole trip (10 days) was phenomenal, and we miss it already. And planning already for next year. We would highly recommend Sharon and Zack's cottage for anyone looking for a quiet place out of the way to rest, relax and recline on St John.
Thank you Sharon!!! Way to go - you got us hooked on binge watching Ozark on Netflix until the early morning hours after a bottle of wine every night to unwind. Can't wait to come back. We hope to see you soon!
