dirty, dark, and dated

This condo was very dirty. Appliances never wiped down, cabinet drawers filthy. The bed was like sleeping on a boxspring mattress, we had to buy an air mattress at a local retailer and put it on top of the mattress. We have stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort before and really enjoyed it great location, would not recommend this unit

Another wonderful stay at this property. Seaweed is there late this year, but the maintenance guys clean it up every day. The snorkeling equipment could use an upgrade.

Great Location!!

We stayed for 9 Days!! The Condo was located in a very quite side of Sapphire Bay!! Very Short walk to the Bar and Beach!! Very clean and had a Great View of the Sun Rise over St. John's in the morning!! Loved it!! Very clean and a Great Location!! Would definitely stay there again!! Property location was good. Needs major upgrades. Lounge chairs with property all rusted and unusable. Needs better quality towels and more of them for a 10 day stay. Bed comfortable. Nothing deluxe but nothing I mentioned deterred from having good time Property owner/manager was responsive.

Great Location

Being located in a condo that is right on the beach is great. Taxi rides are easy to get at most anytime. Close to the ferry with quick rides to other islands US or British. We had a wonderful 20 year anniversary! Oh and if you are there during a full moon, the resort has a huge full moon party at the beach bar with entertainment, DJs and Dancing from 6-11pm.

Can't wait to come back

This was so much more than I expected. The pictures on the listing don't do it justice. It's a small studio condo that opens right up on the beach to amazing views. There are some small amenities including WiFi, a coffee pot, & blender. The room is super cute and beachy as well. I felt like e could live there forever and had a hard time leaving yesterday. It is located right near a few of the local water spots excursions and just a few km from a few other beaches. They provide snorkel gear and beach chairs. We did not use either because we had our own gear & stayed on the patio in the chairs there while we were basking in the sun & the views. There is a full size refrigerator & stove, coffee y pot & blender which all were put y to use during our stay making it even more like home. I can't speak and more highly of this property than to say I wish I could stay forever.

Awesome Sapphire Resort

Had a great week. Literally steps from water, my elderly folks were content to sit and watch the waves. Pool was feet from unit. Lovely property, everything you could want or need for a perfect vacation. Beach is great for snorkeling, onsite bar & food, to die for views. Thanks for having us!

Breathtaking Views!

The property manager, Bernard, was extremely helpful and fast to respond and solve any questions, issues or concerns we had. This VRBO unit is located in a gated, resort-like community of condos. It had everything you need right on site. There was a beautiful beach, pool, boat Marina with rentals, restaurants, gift shop and snorkel gear rentals. If you wanted to venture out, there were plenty of taxis and trolleys available. The nearby town of Red Hook was 1 mile or two, away and had shopping, grocery stores, bars and restaurants. This vacation was absolutely perfect. We highly recommend you stay with this VRBO property because you will not be disappointed.

Perfect oasis

The condo was clean and spacious. The bathroom counter was enormous for all our bathroom items! There were enough towels and kitchen supplies. Very nice to have cooler and chairs to take to the beach. Being so close to the ocean from our patio was wonderful. This condo made our vacation outstanding. Only wish there was assigned parking spaces for each condo.

Absolutely wonderful vacation!!!

The condo was PERFECT! This is our 2nd time staying here and it is just wonderful. The beach is literally 20' from the patio with beautiful views of the ocean 24/7. Bernard is quick to respond and is super helpful. We cook our meals in - so the kitchen is important to us. Is is well stocked. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom nice. The whole resort is nice and safe. The pool is lovely with great views of the ocean. I like the resort location - so close to best beaches and the car ferry. Overall I give it a "10". !!!

Excellence and kindness

Our stay started with a colossal error on my part and Bernard was so entirely gracious understanding and forgiving. I truly appreciate his response which started our amazing experience off on such a kind note. The place was exactly like the pictures. Sapphire beach even better in person. To top it off our location was minutes at most, just steps on one occasion from the excursions we took. We will be back. Our 30th wedding anniversary was perfect.

This place is AWESOME!

I cannot say enough great things about this condo. Since this unit is on the ground floor, you can easily walk out to the beach. The beach area is quite expansive with plenty of room for families and groups to spread out and enjoy the area. There is coral just offshore, making snorkeling very easy to do from the beach. Inside the unit, everything was perfect. The AC works great! The bed is super comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with all sorts of things you may need. There are two sinks in the bathroom - perfect for any married couple! The water worked well and the pressure was great. The entire unit was spotless upon arrival and there were ample bath and beach towels available. They have thought about everything. Every little thing you might need is available here - toys for kids to use at the beach, a lock for the sliding door that lets out to the beach so you don't have to carry keys around, a built-in container for water to dip your feet in to remove sand before entering through the sliding door, and so much more. I would highly recommend this place and we will absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful beach. Enjoyed the beach bar/restaurant. Short drive (3 minutes) to Red Hook for dinner for $4. Never waited more than 2 minutes for a taxi. Very convenient digital locks to access condo. Very nice interior. The ONLY negative thing I would say is there was a slight smoky smell when you enter the facility.

Cant wait to go back! LOCATION!!!! CANT BEAT IT.

Stayed here and loved it! Bernard was easy to reach and sent lots of good info to me prior, as well as had info in the dresser drawer. The place was spotless. That's always my biggest concern when renting a place. No complaints here! I seriously couldn't find anything dirty or wrong with this place. It's in building e on the 1st floor. Its a little quieter being closer to the end. U have the marina on your right and the beach and ocean right out your balcony door. Its 5min from the ferry to st john, and all the best food is in red hook, so u are in the absolute best location possible. Rent a car. We did and are so thankful we did! We were able to get groceries and go out to eat each night and not having a car would prob cost more anyway. We didnt take the car to st john and so glad we didnt! We went twice, and the first day we got off the ferry and hired honeymoon beach. The 2nd time we taxi'd to maho bay and swam with a huge sea turtle! So amazing. Sapphire beach is nice. Magens bay and coki beach are amazing and we drove there in no time. We were glad we picked sapphire so we were basically right in the middle between coki (best snorkeling in stt, imo) and the ferry to st john. We snorkeled at sapphire as well, but word of advice.. get up early and do it! We did it once around 7-8am and it was good, then tried once around 2p.. not as good. My suggestion.. stay at this place,get up early and snorkel on the other side of the beach bar, then head to coki or magens for a few hours to experience that as well. We did 5nights, enjoyed sapphire one day, did magens/coki the next, did st john 2 days in a row then hung by the beach at the condo and went into town to get souvenirs. Perfect trip! Just needed more time! Only thing that could improve this condo would be a tv in front of the bed on the dresser. Kind of far away to watch from living room to the bed. And maybe a dvd player. But that was only for going to sleep to (we are used to watching tv to fall asleep). Would stay here again in a heartbeat and plan to soon! Bernard was an excellent host and the property is super safe and clean. Would highly recommend, and I'm pretty picky.
